Drew McIntyre who held the World Heavyweight Championship for almost five minutes defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania only to be tarnished by Damian Priest’s Money in the Bank, recently signed a new deal with WWE. The Scottish Warrior has been one of the top superstars of the company in recent times and he has been in the storyline of several feuds including CM Punk and recently returned superstar, Sheamus.

In a recent post on X, the Board of Directors of TKO Holdings, Dwayne Johnson hailed McIntyre for the signing. “Man of my word,” he wrote on X, sharing a video of McIntyre. “As you’re a man of yours – Congratulations @DMcIntyreWWE on signing your new @wwe deal,” he added.

“As we talked about after your #WrestleMania match, I know this Scottish Claymore represents everything that you, your family and your country embody. Alba gu bràth [allegiance to Scotland].”

The Rock went on to add, “As you know, I wanted to personally hand deliver this gift to you at your meeting with Nick Khan, but I had warm cheat meals and chilled tequila waiting for me.”

“Congrats again brother and cheers to hunger, passion, climbing that mountain and always entertaining our fans.”

As the news of McIntyre signed the new deal with WWE, fans have cheered for the superstar with The Rock. McIntyre was recently injured but has not been off the promotion. Recently, the superstar got into a rant with his old partner Sheamus and the social media feud between the duo has highlighted the essence of humor from both sides. Now, fans took to X to react to The Rock’s appreciation for McIntyre.

It seems that WWE has a great storyline for McIntyre. After his recovery from the injuries, the superstar might go one-on-one with CM Punk as the duo has been rivals interrupting each other.
