What's Inside?
- Paul Bettany returns as White Vision in Marvel’s final chapter of the 'WandaVision' trilogy.
- James Spader reprises Ultron, with Marvel teasing a deeper father-son style dynamic between the two characters.
- 'VisionQuest' premieres on Disney+ on October 14, 2026, with eight episodes tied closely to Marvel Phase 6.
Marvel’s next Disney+ series is placing the spotlight back on Vision, though this version of the character carries memories that no longer feel fully his own. VisionQuest arrives as the final chapter in Marvel’s unofficial WandaVision trilogy after WandaVision and Agatha All Along. The series follows White Vision as he searches for identity, purpose, and emotional connection in a world shaped by loss and artificial intelligence.
The upcoming MCU drama also brings back several familiar names, including Paul Bettany, James Spader, and James D’Arcy. New additions such as Ruaridh Mollica and T’Nia Miller are expanding Vision’s story in unexpected ways. With Marvel already teasing footage behind closed doors, anticipation around the cast, Ultron’s return, and Wanda Maximoff’s possible involvement continues to grow.
VisionQuest Cast Guide: Paul Bettany Returns As White Vision

Avengers: Infinity War left Vision’s future uncertain, though Marvel revived the character through White Vision during WandaVision. In VisionQuest, Paul Bettany reprises the role as the synthezoid attempts to reconnect with memories that feel emotionally distant.
The series also features James Spader returning as Ultron. Early footage shown during Disney presentations hinted that Ultron may appear in both robotic and human form. Ruaridh Mollica joins the MCU as Tommy Maximoff, also known as Speed, while James D’Arcy returns as J.A.R.V.I.S.
Other confirmed cast members include T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Todd Stashwick as Paladin, and Faran Tahir reprising his Iron Man role as Raza.

What Is VisionQuest About?

The story begins after White Vision regained the memories of the original Vision during the finale of WandaVision. This version of Vision remembers his past life with Wanda and their family, though he lacks the emotional connection tied to those experiences. That conflict appears to drive the emotional core of the series.
Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Bettany described the project as “moving”.
“It manages to feel very much like it’s somehow a part of that world, an end to a trilogy of sorts, whilst also being very much its own thing, and it is just really good. I’m really proud of it.”
The series will reportedly feature several AI creations linked to Tony Stark, including J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., DUM-E, and U. Marvel is also exploring Vision’s relationship with Ultron in greater depth.
Bettany added: “The story is largely revolved around that relationship, and it’s real fun. It’s fun stuff.”
Will Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff Return To MCU In VisionQuest?

Marvel has not confirmed whether Elizabeth Olsen will appear as Wanda Maximoff in VisionQuest. Still, speculation continues because Wanda remains central to Vision’s memories and emotional journey.
Olsen previously addressed the rumours while speaking to Inverse.
“I didn’t know anything about it until [Paul Bettany] and I spent some time with each other just the other week, and he’s so proud of it,” Olsen said. “It really sounds like a trifecta between Agatha All Along and his show and what we made with WandaVision, so I’m excited to see that.”
Even without a physical appearance, Wanda’s influence is expected to shape much of Vision’s search for identity.
Will James Spader’s Ultron Appear In VisionQuest?

Yes. Marvel has already confirmed James Spader‘s Ultron return. Early footage screened during Disney presentations revealed a more human-looking version of the villain interacting with Vision. Reports also suggest Ultron may act as both mentor and manipulator throughout the story.
That dynamic could become one of the show’s biggest surprises since Vision himself was originally created through Ultron’s programme before becoming an Avenger.
Where To Stream VisionQuest?
VisionQuest will stream exclusively on Disney+. Marvel is expected to release the eight-episode series weekly following its premiere.
VisionQuest Release Date
Marvel has officially scheduled VisionQuest to premiere on October 14, 2026. The series will arrive shortly before Avengers: Doomsday, placing it in a major position within Marvel’s Phase 6 timeline.
