Tom Holland is reportedly landing a role in Christopher Nolan’s next movie. While the nature of his role is unclear as of writing the piece, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will team up with Oppenheimer star Matt Damon in the project which has been kept confidential.

Previously, THR reported that Nolan is set to sit on the director’s chair for another project with his previous Interstaller and Oppenheimer collaborator Damon joining the film.

Nolan also produces the project with his long-time producing partner and wife Emma Thomas under their Syncopy banner. The new movie with Holland and Damon has sparked excitement among fans with a mild buzz as the director has a track record of creating box-office magnet projects with fascinating narratives. Universal Pictures is set to distribute the movie continuing the successful partnership with the director with his last movie Oppenheimer which went on to earn an astonishing  $976 million globally. Nolan’s upcoming film is set for July 17, 2026 release.

So far details of the movie are under wraps but as two stars for the movie are reportedly booked, rumors surrounding the movie have predicted the nature of the movie. It is worth noting that the potential nature of the narrative is still a juicy rumor orbiting the project. According to the rumors, Nolan’s next movie will be a horror movie. Another rumor suggested that the project would be a helicopter action flick similar to 1983’s Blue Thunder directed by John Badham.

Amid the rumors, iO9 sources have revealed that Nolan’s upcoming project will be a vampire movie set in the 1920s.

Additionally, it is worth noting that Ryan Coogler is also making a similar movie called Sinners which stars Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld. Sinners is set for March 7, 2025 release.
