While the cosmic or multiversal narrative in Marvel Studios has been a huge hit, the hardcore Marvel fans have always been rooting for the street-level narratives. While the studio is reportedly committed to honoring the wishes of fans, it would carry a greater significance to the big umbrella of the studio. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again is set to hit Disney Plus soon and the show has enjoyed a tremendous buzz but insider Alex Perez has several new updates of the show which will reportedly serve as a gateway to the street narratives.
Daredevil: Born Again Will Be A Gateway To MCU’s Street-Level Stories
Charlie Cox’s highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again is set to hit MCU’s streamer Disney Plus but before the show’s debut on the platform, several new reports came to light. Insider Alex Perez has recently joined Cosmic Circus Discord Server Q&A sharing several promising details. The insider revealed that Daredevil: Born Again will be spearheading the street-level stories in Marvel Studios.
“Marvel intends to use Daredevil as a gateway to new stories for street superheroes,” Perez said. “In terms of interactions, we can expect, of course, the long-awaited team-up between Spider-Man and Daredevil,” he continued adding that he has also “heard of some ideas down the road for Daredevil to encounter other heroes, particularly Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight and Florence Pugh’s Black Widow.” However, those are still premature ideas on the card and may go “down the road for different projects.”

Perez further shared that Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher and another notable character, Bullseye will be explored in great detail in season 2 of the series. “For them to show up in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. But as I understand it, Punisher’s role will be explored more in the 2nd season than the first because the show feels more like a setup for his story to continue in the next season from what was described to me,” he said.
But the insider confirmed that Bullseye is going to make “Matt very, very angry.”
MCU’s Street-Level Stories Will Be Dominating Post-Secret Wars
Avengers: Secret Wars will be another Endgame-like event that will change the course of upcoming Marvel projects. As per Perez’s comment, the tonality of the projects will have a major change. “Back-to-basics street-level stories will be something we will be able to appreciate in the coming years from Marvel,” Perez shared. “Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Echo, and Daredevil: Born Again were just the beginning of a much bigger story arc that will be further explored once Secret Wars is out of the way,” he added.
Additionally, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and Krysten Ritter reprising their roles as Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones in the MCU again is a possibility as “Marvel Studios’ want all three to come back,” he continued. However, “their roles will vary depending on the character, with the most significant change being applied to Danny Rand.”
Now, as far as the trailer of Daredevil: Born Again is concerned, it is too early to expect a trailer for the show to drop anytime soon, as the “promotion resources will mainly go towards Agatha,” maybe in the coming months.
With Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Jeremy Earl, Ayelet Zurer are set to appear on the show.
Daredevil: Born Again will hit Disney Plus in March 2025.
