The whirlwind romance between Cardi B and NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs seems to have hit an uncertain patch. Just weeks after going public with their relationship, Cardi B has now deleted all traces of Diggs from her Instagram, sparking intense speculation about a potential breakup—or at least a major shift in their relationship.
Is It Over Already? Cardi B Wipes Stefon Diggs Off Instagram

The social media cleanup came over the Fourth of July weekend, and fans were quick to notice that all photos featuring the New England Patriots star had been wiped from her profile. The sudden move comes as a surprise, especially considering how publicly affectionate the two had been just a short time ago.
Diggs had appeared several times on Cardi B’s Instagram in recent months. They were seen enjoying Memorial Day weekend together on a yacht in Miami, and later, he took the Grammy-winning rapper on a lavish trip to France, renting out the historic Château de Farcheville. Cardi had even raved about the gesture on Instagram, saying, “Why this man got us staying in a castle? I’m talking about a real castle.”

Yet, despite the fairytale setting, things now seem less than perfect. Cardi took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, sharing a cryptic update while getting her makeup done. “In the past 72 hours, if you could count the time that we’ve slept… I think me, 6,” she said. “That’s why I don’t want to hear no complaining from no fing body because I’m working my ass off. But I want this s f***ing bad.” She also added she was “sooo tired,” a comment that many fans viewed as a subtle nod to emotional fatigue or possibly relationship stress.
Interestingly, both Cardi B and Diggs still follow each other on Instagram, suggesting things may not be completely over. Some fans even speculated that she might have archived the posts in preparation for the September 19 release of her upcoming album, Am I the Drama?
Their romance began to draw public attention in February when they were spotted entering a Miami hotel together on Valentine’s Day. They went on to attend Coachella together and later made their official debut as a couple courtside at Madison Square Garden during a Knicks game in May, sharing laughs and holding hands in front of the cameras.
However, all of this unfolds as Cardi B remains entangled in a turbulent divorce with rapper Offset. Their on-again, off-again relationship took a darker turn this year, with Cardi accusing Offset of harassment. “This guy upset because I sent his girlfriend messages of him begging me — begging me saying he’s gonna take away his life, begging me saying he’s gonna take away my life,” she said on X Spaces. “All that s***, he was mad.”
She further alleged, “This man sent text messages to somebody that I was dealing with of me and him having sex… Every time he knows that I go out of town he harasses me… He leaves me voice notes trying to pull my self-esteem to the ground and I’m so tired of it.”
With all the personal turmoil and professional pressure she’s under—balancing motherhood, a contentious divorce, and a new album rollout—it’s no wonder Cardi B might be choosing silence over statements for now.
As for Stefon Diggs, he seems unshaken. He posted a black-and-white shot of himself catching a football on his Instagram Story, possibly signaling he’s focused on his preseason game with the Patriots on August 8.
Whether it’s a breakup, a PR strategy, or just a social media reset ahead of her new album, fans are left with one burning question: Is Cardi B and Stefon Diggs’ romance already history, or is this just a temporary timeout?
