Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool gives so much adrenaline rush and he is set to make the viewers go crazy as the much anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine is hardly a few days away from storming into theaters. From 2016 with the first Deadpool movie, he has embodied the character that we could never imagine anyone other than him playing. As he is joined by Hugh Jackman for the Shawn Levy-directed mega MCU project, in a recent interview with Variety, Reynolds shared what he goes through while preparing for the role and what his family thinks of all those processes.

In a recent interview with Variety, actor Ryan Reynolds revealed the lengths he goes to in order to embody the outrageous anti-hero Deadpool, while also keeping his family happy.

The 47-year-old father of four opened up about the demanding physical and mental preparation required for the role, and the unique perspective his family provides.

“It’s not so much about the aesthetic, though I have to fill out the suit. But you want people to see that you’re putting in the work,” Reynolds explained in the interview, joined by his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy.

Reynolds highlighted that his dedication to the character makes him feel accomplished. “It makes me feel like I earned it. I have an intense relationship with Deadpool,” he stated. However, his middle daughter had asked, “Daddy, when can you stop Deadpooling?” Reynolds reassured her with, “Soon, baby. I promise.”

Director Levy humorously suggested that Reynolds “needs to stop wearing that mask in the house.” Jackman added, “Yeah, that’s getting weird.” Reynolds responded with a laugh, acknowledging, “It is weird. Listen, Blake [Lively] insists, so I just do it.”

In balancing his iconic role with family life, Ryan Reynolds showcases a blend of dedication, humor, and love for his family.

Blake Lively recently went to her social media handle to humorously tease her husband, Ryan Reynolds. This playful banter was inspired by his recent antics with Hugh Jackman during their Deadpool & Wolverine promotional tour across Asia.

On her Instagram Stories, Lively, who is 36, shared a video of Reynolds at the 2024 Waterbomb Festival in Seoul, South Korea. In the video, Reynolds is seen enthusiastically spraying the audience with a water gun. Lively captioned it with a cheeky comment: “When he tells you he’s going to work and then you see him on MTV Spring Break.”

Lively continued her playful teasing by posting a GIF that read, “You are in serious trouble.” She also joked about renaming their upcoming film to “Boys Gone Wild: A Deadpool and Wolverine Story.”

The Waterbomb Festival in Seoul was one of several stops on Reynolds and Jackman’s promotional tour, which also included a visit to Shanghai. Reynolds shared photos from the tour on Instagram, expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome they received.
