Who is the greatest of all time in WWE? Previously John Cena who had an iconic run in the company and will retire from wrestling next year after a tour, shared that Roman Reigns is at the top of the game and he proved to be a G.O.A.T. Recently, Reigns responded to Cena’s comment on him with rather a chilled attitude, exactly what you’d expect from the superstar.

In any profession, it’s not easy to gain the status of G.O.A.T. but some people climb the ladder to shine on and represent what they love doing becoming the very face of it. John Cena’s WWE run has been astonishing with a record 13 times WWE Championship and three times the World Heavyweight Championship to his credit. However, the superstar who made his way into Hollywood has previously said that Roman Reigns has evolved to be the Greatest of All Time. Now, Reigns reacted to the comments of Cena in his interview at Bloomberg Power Players of New York.

“The numbers don’t lie,” Reigns joked. “I wish I could say, ‘I’m Taylor Swift out there,’ but we have a great team. I have a Wiseman. Business has been really good. It’s one of those weird situations. This is where I would normally be like, ‘Paul, brag about me,’” he continued.

However, he acknowledged that it’s very subjective, “At the end of the day, it’s subjective. There are some objective metrics involved that we can measure.”

“If there’s 60 people over here that are like, ‘No, Roman Reigns is the GOAT.’ Then there’s two people who go, ‘No way. The Undertaker is the Greatest of All Time.’ How do you argue with those two people that believe in their soul that the Undertaker is? That’s the weird part of our job, and that’s the beauty of it. It’s where objective and subjective meet. It can really be whatever you feel it is. As long as you are connected to whose ever product in WWE you are connected to, I think you have the right to claim that superstar being the greatest of all time, to you.”

Obviously, there are several names that would pop up when reflecting on the history of professional wrestling and Undertaker would be one of the choices for many but with the pace of evolution of Reigns and his popularity, the Original Tribal Chief is certainly a worthy contender.

What John Cena Said About Roman Reigns?

Cena had high praise for Reigns and his implacable stardom, complemented by his in-ring ability. Previously, the Peacemaker actor appeared in Club Shay Shay for a chat calling Reigns better than his very WWE reign which is considered to be legendary in the general consensus. “He’s been in a main event lens for over a decade,” Cena said in his interview.

“In 2012, the stock was trading at $11. WWE/TKO stock is now at $117. That’s on his shoulders. There isn’t a better indication, and I know it’s a team effort, and nobody does it alone, but that, to me, is some serious shit. I have to give respect where it’s due. [Roman] is smart, passionate about the business, multi-generational athlete. Has respect for his family, the locker room, the business. He’s a very smart performer and someone I respect. He’d be my Greatest of All Time.”

In the Bloomberg interview, Reigns further acknowledged Cena’s WWE run. “As far as what John said, I kind of witnessed and observed his early reign as WWE’s top guy and face of the company. Nobody knows better about everything that it takes to get to that point and be in that conversation,” the Head of the Table said. “I guess I’m just going to agree with him.”

Following his WrestleMania 40 defeat, Reigns recently made his stunning return going toe-to-toe with his cousin Solo Sikoa who built his own Bloodline team attempting to dethrone Reigns.
