Spoiler Alert: The article contains brief details of South Park Season 27 Episode 2.
In classic South Park fashion, the show didn’t hold back in its second episode of Season 27, taking a brutally satirical jab at U.S. politics, immigration enforcement, and even Superman’s loyal canine companion. In a bold and controversial sequence, animated Kristi Noem — now depicted as the head of Homeland Security — executes Superman’s beloved dog, Krypto, during a chaotic ICE raid. The moment was as shocking and, interestingly enough, for many fans, funny.

Titled “Got a Nut”, the episode follows Mr. Mackey, who has recently lost his job at South Park Elementary due to budget cuts. Desperate to “make his nut” — an $8,000 monthly overhead — Mackey explores employment with ICE after a banker suggests the job’s generous $100,000 salary and $50,000 signing bonus. ICE, not bothering with credentials or qualifications, hires him immediately. He’s shown an orientation video where Kristi Noem, now Homeland Security head, introduces herself with cold detachment and unsettling confidence. She said:
“Welcome to the team, recruits. I’m Kristi Noem, head of Homeland Security. A few years ago, I had to put my puppy down by shooting it in the face, because sometimes doing what’s important means doing what’s hard.”
A jarring montage followed. Noem jumps from a vehicle and mercilessly guns down innocent puppies in the street. “Now, we’ll ask the same determination of you. Because detaining and questioning people is never easy,” she adds, just before the video cuts again to another dog being shot.
Mackey’s first mission as an ICE agent is to raid a “suspicious” venue: a live performance of Dora the Explorer. Noem leads the charge. As the terrified crowd scatters, she reassures them, “We’re just here for questioning. Cooperate, and nothing bad— holy sh*t!” She then spots a service dog and immediately shoots it, later revealed to be none other than Krypto, Superman’s iconic pet.

Krypto appeared in James Gunn‘s recent Superman movie with a huge screentime being the companion of the iconic superhero.
The Satirical Storm Targets Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, and ICE Overreach

The episode doesn’t stop at shocking imagery. It soon takes viewers to Mar-a-Lago, where Mackey is celebrated by Donald Trump and a toddler-sized J.D. Vance. Trump’s praise for Mackey is short-lived once the absurdity hits peak levels: he invites Mackey to a threesome with himself and Satan. Even Noem, once seen as an ICE darling, is discarded when her “melting Botox face” scurries off her body, causing mass confusion among agents.
While the show makes it clear that no political side is safe from its barbs, the depiction of Noem is especially brutal. Her character is a satirical exaggeration rooted in a real-life confession from her memoir, where she claims to have shot her dog. South Park turns that into a grotesque running gag, magnifying it to make a point about the dehumanization involved in aggressive immigration policies.
Despite White House pushback, accusing the show of losing cultural relevance, South Park‘s fearless humor continues to stir debate. “Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content,” said White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers — inadvertently feeding the same show that thrives on controversy.
