WrestleMania 40 was spectacular, there will not certainly be any doubt about it. While other matches on the card of the biggest night of WWE enjoyed appreciation from fans, the center of attraction has always been Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

Cody Rhodes’ feud with The Bloodline and The Rock has been captivating, fans have hailed the storyline with grace as it contained immaculate action throughout. While The American Nightmare faced his first defeat on night one of WrestleMania 40 alongside his partner Seth Rollins facing The Rock and Roman Reigns, he came back stronger for the final match of the biggest event of WWE.
The odds of Rhodes winning were very low as the threat of ‘anything goes in Bloodline Rules’ was looming above his head. However, The American Nightmare defied all the odds to win the Universal Championship breaking Roman reigns’ legendary title reign.
The final match of WrestleMania 40 was spectacular as fans were surprised by the returns of the legends including John Cena and the WrestleMania king, The Undertaker. Rhodes survived Solo Sikoa’s Spike twice, one combined with a lethal spear by Reigns. Then Cena’s music hits, comes down to the ring, and gives Sikoa an Attitude Adjustment clearing the squared circle. The Final Boss appeared and gave Cena a Rock Bottom. Suddenly, the light went off, and there was The Undertaker, immediately Chokeslammed The Final Boss.

Rhodes finally finished his story with the help of The Undertaker, John Cena and of course, Seth Rollins who surprised everyone when the Shield entrance theme hit and he appeared with a chair for Rhodes’ aid. Several Superstars including Randy Orton, Kevin Owen, and LA Knight celebrated the win of their fellow babyface. Fans took to X to hail the new champion as well.

Rhodes will create new doors to endless possibilities. But before that, he deserved the win and fans have wanted the best for The American Nightmare. Regardless, it is the new chapter of WWE. Now, it would be interesting to see if The Bloodline collapses or causes even more destruction. Also, a potential The Rock vs Rhodes may happen anytime soon.
