Loki season 2 finale became the highest-rated episode for any Disney+ series. Thanks to Tom Hiddleston’s brilliant performance as the God of Mischief. And amidst the possibility of a third season of Loki, in an interview, the actor was asked if he knows anything about it.
“I truthfully don’t know,” Tom Hiddleston told Variety ahead of the Miami Film Festival.
“I am so proud of where we landed in Season 2. To go from this lost, broken soul in Asgaard, and be given a second chance and learn so much about life that he actually gives himself to protect other people, has been such an honor.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Hiddleston praised his Loki co-stars, including Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, and Ke Huy Quan, who joined the show for Season 2. “I don’t know who said it, but there’s the phrase: ‘If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together,’” Hiddleston said. “And it’s never been truer than for this show.”

Executive producer Kevin Wright in an interview with Collider, said that though Loki Season 2 marks the closing of the book, but “there are many books on the shelf for this character.”
“It was similar to Season 1 in we wanted to tell this story and tell it well, but even in Season 1, we obviously were thinking about where we were going. I would say Season 1 and Season 2 were developed and created as, like, kind of two chapters of the same book. We felt pretty strongly, all of us involved, that Season 2 was about closing that book but that there are many other books on the shelf for this character and for this world. But this felt like it wanted to be the conclusion of these great things that we set up in Season 1. We don’t want to constantly leave people with drastic cliffhangers for our finales.”
Wright, while speaking with Phase Zero, said that he would “love to continue to work with this team that made these two seasons of this show.” The producer then revealed that he would like to do a spinoff series, rather than make Loki season 3, saying, “I would love to find a way of… if this was our Breaking Bad, what’s our Better Call Saul?”
As of now nothing can be said. It can be a third season or it may be a spin-off.
Both seasons of Loki are streaming on Disney+.
