Anticipation for MCU’s sixth movie from the Avengers film series, Avengers: Secret Wars, is so high. And, from the very moment of its announcement, fans have been waiting to know about the cast and crew of the film. And, adding to that, many names pooped up as to who would be the perfect choice to helm the movie. That long list of potential directos has got another one. And it is coming from the director himself.
Filmmaker Sam Raimi Wants to Direct MCU’s Avengers: Secret Wars
Sam Raimi has a good history with MCU. He has already directed the Spider-Man trilogy to Doctor Strange. He is well-known for his brilliant work in visual effects apart from the compelling, heartfelt plot that keep audiences engaged.
And, now, Raimi has set an eye on the upcoming Avengers film. Speaking with Screen Geek, Raimi went on to comment on his desire to helm one of the biggest projects in the MCU.
“I love 90% of the Marvel heroes that I’ve read in the great Stan Lee Marvel Universe comic books,” he told the site.
“I would love to work with Marvel again. They haven’t reasonably asked me to. I hope they had a good experience with me. They haven’t asked me yet. I hope they do.”
As of now, no director has been attached to the film. So, for now we can wait for Raimi’s next movie Boy Kills World, where he is serving as a producer. Directed by Mortiz Mohr, the film stars Bill Skarsgard, Famke Janssen, Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, Yayan Ruhian, Nicholas Crovetti and will be available to view on April 26.

Yes, it’s true that Sam Raimi can boast of a successful track record in Marvel. And fans think that given the opportunity again in the MCU’s Secret Wars, he could bring back the seemingly lost glory of the studio.

He faced backlash for what he did in Doctor Strange 2, but also, there; he proved one thing that he can manage a superhero other than Spider-Man. So, as MCU is gearing up to bring its heydays back, fans’ wish to have Raimi onboard could prove a good choice.
Currently, Avengers: Secret Wars have a May 7, 2027 release date.
