The new Captain America Anthony Mackie is all set to headline Captain America 4 and to appear in Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolts. Amid the hype, of the two two anticipated MCU projects, Marvel boss Kevin Feige and Captain America 4 star Anthony Mackie joined this year’s CinemaCon to introduce Captain America: Brave New World.

CinemaCon has witnessed the ultimate extravaganza with several movies teasing clips ahead of their releases. In the mix, Kevin Feige joined the event to introduce upcoming MCU slates including Deadpool & Wolverine and Captain America 4

After Avengers: Endgame, the original Captain America, Steve Rogers played but Chris Evans retired and handed his iconic shield to Anthony Mackie’s Falcon. Following that the actor headlined his own Disney+ show alongside Sebastian Stan in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The clip shared by Feige confirmed Harrison Ford’s MCU debut as Thunderbolt Ross. The clips start with a scene where Thunderbolt Ross now the president, summoned Wilson to rebuild the Avengers that were broken by the event of Endgame. Later, another scene shows Ross thanking Captain America and Phoenix for helping him to overcome a dire crisis but suddenly music plays and an air of tension forms as it triggers former soldier Isiah Bradley to attack the President.

The show has created a buzz among fans extending the hype of Mackie’s solo MCU theatrical title.

Mackie previously revealed that he was disappointed with Disney for not renewing The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In a chat with Radio Times, the actor candidly revealed his emotional attachment to the MCU show. 

“The Falcon and [the] Winter Soldier, I really enjoyed doing that show. I was actually excited to do a second season, just so me and Sebastian [Stan] can get paid to hang out,” he told the outlet.

“Because it’s like me, him and Daniel Brühl. It’s kind of like the perfect storm of happiness,” he added.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier season 2 is not happening but Mackie will headline Captain America 4. The upcoming Mackie movie also stars Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Harrison Ford, and Liv Tyler. 

Captain America 4 is scheduled for February 14, 2025 release.
