Charlie Cox is all set to reprise his Matt Murdock/Daredevil role for the MCU reboot on Disney+. Marvel Studios also cast Vincent D’Onofrio for the project keeping relatively the same cast as appeared in the Netflix series Daredevil. While speaking on the transition, the actors shared details of their Marvel debut.

It was certainly exciting as Marvel Studios announced the reboot of the Daredevil series that debuted on Netflix on 10 April 2015. As Charlie Cox joined the cast as Daredevil, fans had a lot more to cheer on. The actor also showed his gratitude to the studio for bringing the show back with him in the lead. “Marvel had been incredibly open-minded and willing to correct course, and incredibly supportive,” Cox recently said at the Fan Expo Boston panel (via Comicbook.com).

Cox added, “Early on, we were trying something that was a bit different, and very quickly they were able to identify that wasn’t maybe working as well as it could’ve done. Where we are now, I think I can speak for both of us that we feel very happy.”

Before making his official entry in the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios has shown that they have been pretty serious about the character. Cox’s character appeared in Tatiana Maslany’s series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law but with a slightly different costume than Daredevil: Born Again but it was certainly fun to see the other side of the character and also it revealed that Marvel intended to build the character into their own universe.

Behind the scenes, Vincent D’Onofrio who plays villainous Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again has created a beautiful bond of friendship. At the event, D’Onofrio, who last appeared as Kingpin in the Disney+ series Echo, addressed Marvel Studios, fans, and Cox’s friendship. “The best thing about the situation is what Charlie just said about the bosses at Marvel, and also the fact that Charlie and I were a team,” the actor said.

“We just supported each other in everything that each other wanted, whether we were in the scene or not. Whether it featured our characters, it didn’t matter. As a team, Charlie and I considered the story and the fans. Literally, I’m not sh–tting you. You guys, we considered you constantly and brought you up constantly.”
