Eternals is still breathing in the MCU.
The first official teaser for Captain America: Brave New World is out showing fans exciting insight into the first cinematic solo journey of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as Captain America after Steve Rogers ended his tenure following the events of Avengers: Endgame. The teaser showed us the first glance at Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk which is arguably pretty exciting. However, the teaser also made a stunning connection to Marvel Studios’ 2021 movie Eternals.
Captain America: Brave New World Has A Connection To Eternals

Anthony Mackie’s Captain America: Brave New World has been on tremendous buzz. Of course, almost all Marvel movies create huge hype but Brave New World updates have kept fans in a constant loop. Now, as the first teaser of the upcoming movie dropped, several details of the movie were unveiled. As per the easter egg breakdown of the teaser by New Rockstars, the connection of the upcoming MCU movie with Eternals was visible as the light of day.
Explaining the scene in the Mackie-led film, New Rockstars wrote, “Captain America fighting around the corpse of Celestial Tiamut in the new trailer for Brave New World.”
For the most part, Eternals has been left out of the MCU after the commercial failure of the 2021 movie starring several A-listers including Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and co. In the movie, Eternals— a group of heroes in the MCU with incredible powers stopped Celestial from destroying the planet. But the appearance of the gargantuan, frozen Celestial statue emerging out of the ocean in Brave New World may not be just a simple easter egg referring to the 2021 movie rather several theories claim that it has a much more significant essence related to the upcoming movie.
Fans Are Excited With The Brave New World’s Eternals Connection

It is fair to assume that Brave New World will have a major plot connection to Celestial’s body as the dead Tiamut may be the source of rare materials for which the global powers are seeking control to have their hands on it. In this regard, the flying missiles over the statue make sense. Now, fans are immensely happy about the connection to the forgotten MCU film.

Also, as X-Men ’97 marked the MCU canonization of the X-Men characters, other theories suggest that the dead Tiamut could be the safe haven for mutants, known as Genosha and Thunderbolts may have his part in doing something about it. But it seems quite far-fetched albeit every possibility as the superhero brand will look for every possible way to establish the mutants in the MCU.
Directed by Julius Onah, Captain America: Brave New World will hit theaters on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025.
