Fans have long anticipated the return of Dafne Keen’s X-23 in Deadpool & Wolverine. While Hugh Jackman was dead in Logan protecting his daughter (kind of) and a group of mutant kids made a stunning return in the upcoming Ryan Reynolds starrer MCU movie. So, it was not illogical to expect the return of Keen’s X-23 since several X-Men characters are making their MCU debut in the transition from 20th Century Fox movies. Keen now gave the final answer to the speculation.

Dafne Keen is set to appear as Jecki Lon— Sol’s current young Padawan in Leslye Headland-created upcoming Star Wars thriller series The Acolyte. The show which is set to debut on Disney+ on June 4, 2024 has been an extensive hype. The actor recently gave an update on her cameo in Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine saying that she was sad about not being involved in the highly anticipated Marvel movie.
During the London premiere of The Acolyte, the actor stopped by for a quick chat with On Demand Entertainment revealing her stance on the upcoming MCU movie, “Of course it’s sad I love Hugh and creatively I love Ryan and I Love Shawn I’m really excited to see what they’ve made,” Keen said.

Keen went on to add that the director of the movie Shawn Levy has been one of the most prominent directors of recent times. “I think Shawn is like one of the best directors out there right now and obviously Ryan’s a legend.”
Despite being omitted from the movie the actor is hopeful for the success of Deadpool & Wolverine and will watch the movie as a fan. “So it would have been amazing to be a part of it but I’ll just go watch it as a fan and to see my old my old buddy in it.”
Possibility of her Logan character is still on the car, as the X-Men franchise is in the works for a reboot in MCU canon, Keen might just have the space to reprise the role.

Dafne Keen’s Logan role, X-23 was an immediate fan favorite which perfectly complemented the farewell of Jackman’s Wolverine. Also, Keen portrayal of the character was intense and raw which further enhanced her impression among fans and critics. Following her Marvel role under 20th Century Fox’s banner, the actor was heavily rumored to make a cameo in Shawn Levy’s movie in the MCU cannon. Recently, the actor spoke with Comicbook.com to celebrate her character in the 2017 movie.
“What goes through your head is, first of all, how cool that something is that big that if seeps and it bleeds into other projects,” Keen said. The actor went on to add saying, “And how cool it is that I got to be a part of something that had such a huge legacy that almost 10 years later I’m still being asked about and that just feels pretty huge.”
Right now, the actor is busy on the promotional tour of The Acolyte.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit the theaters on July 26.
