After Fly Me to the Moon starring alongside Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johansson is all geared up to enter Jurassic World for the franchise’s upcoming installment. The actor was in the buzz following her casting in the movie in the franchise of which she has been a huge fan since her childhood. Now, a Jurassic World veteran has welcomed the Marvel star before stopping into the land of prehistoric creatures.
Scarlett Johansson Received A Secret Surprise From Jurassic World Actor
Scarlett Johansson has already received a warm welcome from veteran Jurassic World star Jeff Goldblum. Johansson was over the moon after the compliments from Goldblum to which she feels her life is complete now.
Goldblum appeared as Dr. Ian Malcolm in Steven Spielberg’s original Jurassic Park which was released in 1993. The actor reprised his character in three more sequels, including Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Jurassic World: Dominion.
During her press junket for Fly Me to the Moon, Johansson recently appeared for an interview with Today’s Savannah Guthrie where the actor received the exclusive surprise. After Guthrie told the actor that “somebody wanted to welcome you aboard to the team” Goldblum appeared in a self-filmed video wearing a Jurassic World sweater under his coat.

“Dr. Johansson, this is Jeff Goldblum. Here’s what I want to say to you. This I know: Scarlett will find a way,” Goldblum said referring to his classic “life finds a way” dialogue in the original Jurassic Park movie. “Here’s what I want to say to you. This I know: Scarlett will find a way. Don’t get eaten, unless you want to. I love you,” he added in the short clip.
The former MCU star has already got the stamp of approval in the form of a warm welcome from the veteran actor in the franchise. Fans now await to see what the actor will bring to the table with her role in the upcoming movie.
Scarlett Johansson Was Stunned By Jeff Goldblum’s Welcome
Johansson has a stellar career as an actor to her credit with several astonishing roles across genres. The actor previously stated that she has been a Jurassic nerd after watching Jurassic Park for the first time. Now, responding to the video message of Goldblum, Johansson revealed that it means a lot to her. “I mean, I think my life is complete. It’s done. Yes… done. I can retire. Oh my gosh!” the actor said in the interview.
“I was probably 10 or 11, and it was absolutely transformative for me,” she continued. “The experience was — we had never seen anything like that, CGI used in that way. And when you see it, it still holds up. I mean, it looks so great. It’s like magic. … The actors were so amazing: Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum. And it had so much heart,” Johansson added.
Johansson and Goldblum appeared together in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, however, Goldblum is unlikely to appear in the upcoming installment in the Jurassic World franchise that will be helmed by Gareth Edwards from a script written by David Koepp. Notably, the upcoming untitled Jurassic World movie will be a completely new story separated from the Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard-starred first Jurassic World trilogy.
Universal Studios has slated the new Jurassic World movie to hit the theaters on July 2, 2025.
