Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool gives so much adrenaline rush and he is set to make the viewers go crazy as the much anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine is hardly a few days away from storming into theaters. From 2016 with the first Deadpool movie, he has embodied the character that we could never imagine anyone other than him playing. As he is joined by Hugh Jackman for the Shawn Levy-directed mega MCU project, in a recent interview with Variety, Reynolds shared what he goes through while preparing for the role and what his family thinks of all those processes.
Ryan Reynolds Is Balancing Family Life and Deadpool
In a recent interview with Variety, actor Ryan Reynolds revealed the lengths he goes to in order to embody the outrageous anti-hero Deadpool, while also keeping his family happy.
The 47-year-old father of four opened up about the demanding physical and mental preparation required for the role, and the unique perspective his family provides.
“It’s not so much about the aesthetic, though I have to fill out the suit. But you want people to see that you’re putting in the work,” Reynolds explained in the interview, joined by his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy.

Reynolds highlighted that his dedication to the character makes him feel accomplished. “It makes me feel like I earned it. I have an intense relationship with Deadpool,” he stated. However, his middle daughter had asked, “Daddy, when can you stop Deadpooling?” Reynolds reassured her with, “Soon, baby. I promise.”
Director Levy humorously suggested that Reynolds “needs to stop wearing that mask in the house.” Jackman added, “Yeah, that’s getting weird.” Reynolds responded with a laugh, acknowledging, “It is weird. Listen, Blake [Lively] insists, so I just do it.”
In balancing his iconic role with family life, Ryan Reynolds showcases a blend of dedication, humor, and love for his family.
