The excitement around Spider-Man: Brand New Day just swung to new heights. Freshly leaked set photos have given fans a glimpse into what appears to be one of the film’s most emotional moments. For fans who remember the heart-wrenching events of No Way Home, this setting is packed with nostalgia.
Tom Holland and Zendaya’s Reunion Teased In Leaked Spider-Man: Brand New Day Photos

The ending of No Way Home left Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker in a lonely, bittersweet place. In his final sacrifice to protect the multiverse, Peter asked Doctor Strange to erase all memories of him from everyone he loved, meaning MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) no longer knew who he was. Now, the cemetery scene has sparked theories. Does MJ somehow remember Peter, or are they two strangers crossing paths again in grief?

Director Destin Daniel Cretton is keeping those answers locked away for now. But we know Holland is returning as the friendly neighborhood hero, with Zendaya and Batalon also reprising their roles. New faces joining the mix include Stranger Things star Sadie Sink, The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher— his first appearance in a Spider-Man movie after reprising the role in Daredevil: Born Again. Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/The Hulk will also return to the MCU in this installment, alongside Michael Mando’s Scorpion from Homecoming.
The leaked photos come just as filming continues in Glasgow, which has been transformed into a bustling New York City. Production, originally set to wrap mid-August, has been extended to August 26. Fans have spotted explosions, stunt sequences, and even Holland greeting crowds of around 100 people between takes. In true Marvel fashion, much of the plot remains under wraps, but the tone on set suggests a blend of high-stakes action and intimate, character-driven moments.
Tom Holland Comes Back As Spider-Man With A New Suit

Ahead of these leaks, Holland teased the start of production on Instagram with behind-the-scenes shots in his brand-new Spider-Man suit. The design nods to the more classic look worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, bridging the past and present of the web-slinger’s cinematic legacy. “Spider-Man Brand New Day 1,” Holland wrote, standing atop a military-style vehicle with stunt wires attached. “We ready?” he added in a teaser clip.

The film’s title is pulled from one of Marvel’s most divisive comic storylines, and its on-screen adaptation could reshape Peter Parker’s world yet again. While fans speculate about whether MJ and Peter will find their way back to each other, the confirmed cast suggests Brand New Day will weave multiple hero arcs together— possibly setting up events for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, and Avi Arad, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be both a heartfelt continuation and a launchpad for Marvel’s next big phase. And if these leaks are anything to go by, Peter Parker’s next chapter will be as personal as it is epic.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated for release on July 31, 2026.
