A seemingly lighthearted moment at Coldplay’s Boston concert spiraled into a PR firestorm after Astronomer CEO Andy Byron was caught on the stadium’s “kiss cam” with his company’s Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot. You can imagine what happened later, if you have been following what’s on the internet recently, it was far from innocent swaying to Coldplay’s “Fix You.” The viral footage sparked allegations of infidelity, provoked an outburst from Byron himself, and led to swift online actions from his wife. The incident now looms over a $1.2 billion tech company with reputations hanging in the balance.
A Romantic Concert Moment Spread Like Wildfire on the Internet

Okay, it was supposed to be just another night of Coldplay magic at Gillette Stadium became a spectacle neither the band nor the audience could have predicted. As the camera panned to the crowd, lead singer Chris Martin made playful banter: “Whoa, look at these two,” he said, highlighting a couple gently swaying with arms around each other. That couple was none other than Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot.

When their faces lit up on the big screen, the expressions quickly changed. Cabot attempted to shield her face and apparently muttered, “This is awkward.” Byron, seemingly stunned, cursed under his breath: “F–king hell, it’s me,” before ducking out of the frame. The couple’s discomfort did not go unnoticed. Chris Martin, unaware of the identities but clearly sensing the tension, quipped, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” sending the audience into an uproar of laughter and gasps.
Adding fuel to the fire, Martin later added, “I hope we didn’t do something bad…”
Unexpected Spotlight on Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot

As the video circulated rapidly on TikTok and X, the implications hit beyond the stage. Byron, who has served as CEO of Astronomer since July 2023, quickly became a trending topic, though not for his company’s data and AI innovations. Cabot, who joined Astronomer as Chief People Officer in November 2024, was equally under the spotlight.
Before the affair went viral on the internet, Byron publicly praised her, saying, “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory. She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer,” (via Page Six)
Cabot too had complimented Byron in an earlier press release, stating, “I was energized in my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that exist here.”
However, those professional accolades now seem overshadowed by their now-public private moment. Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, swiftly deleted her Facebook account and removed her surname from her profile after the incident gained traction. The timing was impossible to ignore, especially after her account was flooded with comments referencing the video.

As of now, Astronomer has not issued a public statement. Posts announcing both Byron’s and Cabot’s roles have mysteriously vanished from LinkedIn, further fanning the speculation.
