Here are some early reactions to the David Corenswet-led Superman—
Matt Ramos wrote–
“A big worry some people had was that #Superman was going to have too many characters & focus too much on setting up the DCU but let me to you this is very much a Superman story first & he is the star of the show.
Even then, James Gunn KNOWS how to balance so many characters so well & everyone has their moment to shine. Guy Gardner has a moment in the same way Steve Lombard has a moment. Everyone gets the love they deserve & Superman leads the pack.”

“James Gunn’s #Superman is the film I’ve been waiting for ever since I read my first comic book. The empathy this film extended takes me back to Rami’s trilogy. The action scenes bristle with kinetic energy, track 7 of the score sent SHIVERS down my spine And man did I cry a lot.”

Film critic Rendy Jones shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated movie–
“#SUPERMAN is the best the Man of Steel has been all millennium. Gunn’s take is a smart study with a compelling immigrant diaspora arc at its core. David Corenswet nails the Clark’s truest nature: a midwest dork trapped in a hunk body, instilling hope for all. emphasis on HOPE.”
