In the first or as it appears to be, pop star and actor Justin Timberlake was in the cuffs as he was arrested in Sag Harbor on New York’s Long Island, as confirmed by Variety. The singer’s arrest has created quite a discussion among fans. Here’s why Timberlake was arrested.

Man of the Woods singer Justin Timberlake was arrested on 18 June as he was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated. According to Variety, the Palmer actor was released without bail.
“The charge was a single count because he refused the breath test,” Timberlake’s lawyer, Ed Burke, told Us Weekly following his arrest on Tuesday morning. “Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other court citations, running a stop sign and not traveling in the correct traffic lane,” Burke added.
The 43-year-old star is currently engaged in his Forget Tomorrow world tour supporting his latest album Everything I Thought It Was. The court date for his hearing has been scheduled for July 26 which would conflict with his concert in Poland scheduled for the same day.

Sag Harbor Police Department released a statement after the arrest of the Mirrors singer. The statement reads—
“On June 18, 2024, at 12:37 AM, Justin R. Timberlake, age 43, of Tennessee, was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated by a Police Officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition.”
Later, per the statement, “Mr. Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight for morning arraignment.” The statement also details the time and the place of the arrest. “Mr. Timberlake was arraigned at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on June 18, 2024, at 9:30 AM where he was released on his own recognizance.”
