Wade Barrett was super furious.

Former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett was not happy with CM Punk screwing up Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle during his match against Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. Barrett ranted on Punk and WWE for the screw-up job which, again prevented McIntyre from his potential win.

Wade Barrett was clearly unhappy with blowing the match for Drew McIntyre in the hometown of the Scottish Warrior. McIntyre and CM Punk’s feud has been hot and The Best In The World has made sure to keep the spark alive, interfering with Drew McIntyre vs Damian Priest‘s match as the crooked referee. Barrett was clearly upset with Punk’s involvement. “That was the biggest screwjob in history,” Barrett said at Clash at the Castle: Scotland Post Show.

The former 5 times Intercontinental Champion further iterates that Punk’s screw job made a historic record, “just beating Bret Hart.” Barrett added, “That is the new number one. There is a huge shadow cast upon this entire industry thanks to the actions of CM Punk.”

Also, during commentary of the WWE Castle, Barrett was not hesitant to say, “If Drew wins tonight, he’s British. If he loses, then he’s Scottish. That’s how it works here.”

Of course, we all feel for McIntyre, he deserved the win in his hometown but WWE is seemingly cooking a new plot for an interesting storyline heating up the pot for The Scottish Warrior and The Best in the World.

Wade Barrett Said CM Punk Should Be Fired

Barrett’s disappointment was evident in his comment but his anger at Punk’s enforcement in the match almost surprised his fellow match analyst and former WWE Superstar, Big E Langston. “CM Punk needs to be fired by WWE management,” Barrett ranted on Punk.

“For once, show some balls. Do what you’re supposed to do,” Barrett then addressed WWE management. “This is a guy who was medically cleared to be in contact with any wrestler. He has now materially affected the outcome of two heavyweight championship matches. What is CM Punk doing here? He wasn’t booked for SmackDown. He wasn’t booked for media. He wasn’t booked for Clash at the Castle. Are you trying to tell me he got a private jet all the way over to Scotland just to watch the show?”

The former King of the Ring further claimed that Punk had ruined the event, “He ruined this event. He should have been thrown out of the building. To invite him to the press conference after that and give him donuts and throw softball questions at him. To have the leader of this industry, the leader of WWE, a man who I respect, Triple H, come out and answer these issues with quotes like, ‘I’m happy to have Phil Brooks back. This is the Phil Brooks I want to see. Thrilled and excited to work with him. Thank you CM Punk for helping change the culture behind the scenes at WWE.’ I cannot respect any of that. It’s nonsense. The man is poison.”

Barrett’s anger is understandable but as Punk is recovering WWE needs to keep McIntyre’s wound fresh so that we get the best out of the feud, as we believe, that’s what WWE is cooking. As it was evident that the Scottish Warrior lost cool after losing the match and his dream to reclaim the title from Priest, he will certainly come after Punk. Also, his hilarious social media rant awaits. Later in the post-show interview, Punk revealed that he was medically cleared for referee duty but had a minor hiccup in his arm and would reassess the problem soon.
