Edge of Tomorrow marked the first collaboration with acclaimed director Doug Liman who has The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and his most recent Road House to his credit. “This anniversary brings back incredible memories. My first collaboration with Doug Liman,” Cruise added in his X thread. The actor also celebrated working with Irish actor Brendan Gleeson who previously starred alongside Cruise in Mission: Impossible 2. “Rejoining the indomitable Brendan Gleeson. And my first time working alongside the great Bill Paxton. His performance and the character he created left an indelible mark on this film,” he added.

Edge of Tomorrow is one of the fan-favorite alien invasion movies. Also, the action sci-fi has an astounding 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie claimed $370.5 million at the box office but considering the production budget of $178 million, it was a mediocre hit. Perhaps, that was the reason a sequel never happened. Still, fans are eagerly waiting for a sequel.
