Okay, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins are still pretty much in the game but their defeat on Day 1 of WrestleMania 40 has clearly made Rhodes’ Universal Championship title shot against Roman Reigns even more doubtful. Why? As promised and accepted, it will be The Bloodline Rules.

The Final Boss and The Tribal Chief defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins by pinfall after The People’s Champion performed a Rock Bottom following a spear by Roman Reigns. The Rock ended the game with the People’s Elbow on The American Nightmare— 1,2,3… The Bloodline with the win as Rollins could not recover on time after Reigns’ spear through the barricade to save his buddy.

It has been one of the most anticipated tag team matches of the decade with an astounding storyline developed over the months following Rhodes’ emotion-packed ‘finishing the story’ feud with The Bloodline, particularly, Reigns. Of course, the storyline was exciting and The Rock being in the mix in the later part certainly elevated the trill.

World Heavyweight Champion, Rollins joined Rhodes in his accompanying feud but the story was almost finished, as we predicted, The Bloodline was victorious. So, what’s going to happen on the second night of the biggest WWE event? Perhaps, more use of the ‘Mama Rhodes’ belt on The American Nightmare.

While Rollins’ Heavyweight Championship is on the line against Drew McIntyre, it’s very unlikely that he would come to Rhodes’ rescue as it has been a widely perceived notion that The Scottish Warrior deserves the title and WWE may crown him with the championship. But beyond that, the second night has several exciting matches stored including AJ Styles’s final battle against LA Knight.

The center of attraction, however, has been on the Rhodes vs Reigns while The American Nightmare will attempt to finish his story for his family, fans, and almost everyone while Reigns will defend his legendary title reign streak that has crossed over 1300 days.

The twist, however, The Bloodline Rules will be the dominant factor against Rhodes. The Brahma Bull made it clear that there would be no mercy as he intended to soak Rhodes with blood again. Recently, The Rock confronted Rhodes saying that the feud was not business but it has become personal.

Still, fans might expect some legendary wrestlers to make a surprising appearance, perhaps to aid Rhodes from The Bloodline’s brutality still it goes down in Reigns’ favor.

Reigns will defend his Universal Championship on April 7 at night 2 of WrestleMania 40.
