‘Jukebox Musical?’ New Report on Joker 2
We knew that Joker 2 is a musical movie, but a jukebox musical? A new report by Variety cites that Joker: Folie à Deux will have 15 reimagined ‘well known” songs.
One confirmed song from the jukebox is reportedly That’s Entertainment from the 1953 musical The Band Wagon. However, there will be scope for some original songs. Hildur Guðnadóttir who won Oscar for Best Original Score from the original movie is again on the chair of composer for the sequel and she earlier told Variety that “It’s an interesting decision and it’s somehow logical at the same time.” (Via Vulture)
The First movie released in 2019 was a sure shot critical and commercial success grossing over $1 billion at the worldwide market and earning 11 Oscar nominations including two wins for Best Actor and Best Original Score.
