Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver Trailer Dropped At Netflix
After the release of the teaser trailer, Netflix dropped the first trailer of Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver. The trailer shows the continuation of Sofia Boutella’s adventure alongside Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Staz Nair, and their newly formed army to battle Imperium. Zack Snyder, the director of the movie revealed that making the movie in two parts would help the characters evolve with enough space in the space adventure.
“My hopes are that because we were able to do two films, that we’re able to really invest in the characters for the first film so that the audience gets to really understand why they’re fighting for the villagers of Veldt,” he told Netflix.
While it is predictable what the second part of the narrative will bring to the screen, the forthcoming movie has certainly stores the acute buzz as fans expect a better version of the narrative concluding the saga. However, this might open doors to new projects based on the Rebel Moon Universe.
Sofia Boutella Opened Up About Negative Reviews Of Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire
Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire was far from being a critical darling as the movie was condemned for deviating from having a profound magnum opus effect on the audience while just following the same structural sci-fi adventure. Sofia Boutella who played the lead, Kora in the movie revealed that she was really hurt by the negative reviews. “I always thought that I was fully armed to take on those punches,” she told Vulture.
“And then I read the critics that came down on Rebel Moon and it really affected me. And I’m just gonna be honest about it. I feel like I’m carrying it for everybody that cared so much about this project, and that’s what affected me. Not the way I look. If anything, I’ve been pretty lucky and people like my work in it, but the movie was criticized.”
The Snyder movie was one of the highly anticipated movies of 2023 but failed to impress critics and several fans when it was released on Netflix. But Boutella fas not ready to take all the comments that put the movie in a bad light. It “Really affected me for all of those who put so much heart, tears, and sweat in this project,” she added.
“It’s hard to see something being demolished to that extent. I’m proud to have been part of it, and if there is no more Rebel Moon, it will be a very important part of my life that I will defend forever.”
Still, the second part of the movie is far from moving away from the buzz. With the release of the recent trailer, the movie has gave the added glimpse of the narrative for fans before streaming the movie on Netflix on 19 April 2024.
