“I could not be more excited for season three. I’m all about season three,” Kirkman said on the bonus Inside Episode 8 segment from Invincible season 2 on Amazon’s streaming service.
“I think that there’s so many pieces that have been put in place in season two that we’re going to build on in season three and so many different ways that we’re going to expand the show and push the show even further,” Kirkman added.
Co-showrunner Simon Racioppa added: “You’ve got some new cast members, new stories. We go [to] some crazy places. But we pick up everything that we left hanging in season two. All the emotional stories that you liked in season one and season two are continuing.“
Going further about what can we expect from the season 3, Kirkman teased:
“We want every [season three] episode to feel like it’s a finale. Season three is an absolutely huge season with so many crazy things that you won’t expect. And where we leave things at the end of season three… Oh my god, I cannot wait for people to see that stuff.”
Amazon Studios has confirmed the third season of the show way before the finale of season one. This fan-favorite animated series is based on the Skybound/Image comic of the same name by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley.

Showrunner Racioppa went on to talk about how the events of Season 2 will impact the upcoming season. “Half the fun of Season 3 is like, ‘Oh my God, we have to deal with all the stuff that happened in Season 2 and all the ramifications of that,” he said. “And how does that change our characters going forward? So that’s really fun because we have these new challenges for our characters in Season 3… So it’s like, how do we keep all the previous seasons still relevant and in our minds, and in our character’s minds when we go forward? So that’s super fun and exciting.”
As of now, nothing about the third season has come out. The storyline is also kept under wraps and no official release date has been announced. we will have to wait for the confirmation from the Studio.
