Tomer Capone’s Frenchie who finally got to make it up to Kimiko played by Karen Fukuhara after his release from prison previously, has been busy developing the supe killer virus for the season finale. Frenchie has been successful at his job making a lethal dose of the virus which The boys members were supposed to use as a precautionary measure when they met Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) as they planned to plot a coy against The Vought and Homelander (Anthony Starr).
SUGGESTED: ‘The Boys’ Season 4 Finale Finally Changed Character Arcs Of Frenchie And Kimiko
However, Billy Butcher arrives at the scene defeating his illness after taking a dose of compound V and going berserk mode killing Neuman right in front of her daughter. Later, he took the gun from Frenchie that was loaded with the supe killer virus.
But something good happened, fans could finally see Frenchie and Kimiko kissing which sparked their romance albeit the apocalyptic scenario was playing in the background as Homelander took control over the President. Apparently, fans got what they have long wanted as The Boys ended the long platonic relationship between Frenchie and Kimiko. They both have their tragic past but mostly stay with each other proving that they deserve more than a mere platonic bond. However, the passionate kiss and the romance may have been killed off in the very end. As several supes hunt down the boys members, it appears that Frenchie is now under Cate’s (Maddie Phillips) control.
The mind-controlling scene of Frenchie seemingly resembles Loki (Tom Hiddleston) controlling the mind of Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) from the original Avengers movie that was released in 2012. The similarity of the two scenes, at least by the core essence of it, seemingly teased Frenchie’s fate as well. Like Barton, Frenchie would turn out to be an antagonist in the fifth and final season of the series, at least for a few episodes.
SUGGESTED: ‘The Boys’ Finally Reveals Why Kimiko Can’t Speak
Regardless, it is almost certain that both Kimiko and Frenchie will have a major storyline in the upcoming season. Surprisingly, we have also heard Kimiko speak for the first time when she screamed “No” as Frenchie was being taken away from her.
All four seasons of The Boys are now streaming on Prime Video.
