Warning: The following content contains SPOILERS for The Boys season 4 finale. The Boys season 4 started with a bang and ended with an apocalyptic narrative that stunned the viewers with the plot that drove the narrative throughout with its twists and turns. Eric Kripke Commented On The Season 4 Finale Of The Boys
The Boys season 4 finale left fans in awe with astonishing surprises stored in almost every scene. Homelander (Antony Starr) is now unstoppable while the fate of the boys is seemingly in his hands as several supes come after them capturing one after another members of the band.
Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Starlight (Erin Moriarty) somehow escaped the hunt but they were far from stopping Homelander who ultimately took over the control of the White House. In his exclusive interview with Lad Bible, series creator Eric Kripke said that The Boys season finale went on to apocalyptic mayhem.

“You know, I think the finale of season four really shows you that we’ve been planning five years all along, because there’s no way a show goes one more season after the events of that finale. As far as we’re concerned, it’s our show’s version of the apocalypse,” Kripke told the outlet.
Kripke’s comment on the season 4 finale seems fitting exactly to the episode as it turned out. Also, it was a clear indication of the fact that the episode was the building block of season 5.
Eric Kripke Details On Homelander’s White House Takeover
Homelander is close to making his version of the United States after commanding control over the President. Anyone can assume that this incident was as bad as it could get. Homelander, the vicious villain and leader of Vought, is now making the President dance on his strings. Kripke also stated about Homelnder’s drastic move as he went full God mode.
“Homelander gets everything he has wanted from the beginning, which is to completely remake the United States in his image, and according to his whims. The boys are at their lowest point, most of them are captured, and we worry for their future.”
Adding further, he shared that the season 4 finale has put things in perspective for the upcoming season, “I always look at it as of the five seasons,” Kripke said. “We’re kind of at that point, that’s sort of the end of the second act of a movie where everyone’s really at their low point, and they’ve all faced their own personal demons. Now, they need to really come together in the fifth season and save the world.”
This season of The Boys has also maintained the legacy of the hit Prime Video original. Now, Billy Butcher is in his ultimate mode turning genocidal. He took a dose of Compound V allowing Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Joe Kessler who has been putting evil thoughts, to take control of his brain while the snake-like creature coming out of his chest killed Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) in front of her daughter.
All four seasons of The Boys are streaming on Prime Videos.
