After captivating audiences worldwide with his performance in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and recently at the 96th Oscars, actor Ryan Gosling is ready to make us go crazy again. He will be seen next along with Oppenheimer star Emily Blunt in David Leitch directed The Fall Guy. Meanwhile, what garners maximum attention currently is the stunt done by Logan Holladay that broke a nearly-two-decade-old Guinness World Record, previously held by Adam Kirley from Casino Royale.
Logan Holladay, the Stuntman for Ryan Gosling’s Character in The Fall Guy Broke one Guinness World Record
Get ready to be blown away! The action film The Fall Guy recently revealed a behind-the-scenes feat that has jaws dropping. Buckle up for the highest number of consecutive cannon rolls ever performed in a single stunt.
This heart-stopping achievement belongs to stuntman Logan Holladay, the driver behind Ryan Gosling’s character. Holladay, piloting a specially modified Jeep Grand Cherokee, executed a mind-bending eight and a half cannon rolls. This surpasses the previous record held by Adam Kirley in Casino Royale.
For the uninitiated, a cannon roll is an extremely dangerous stunt where a car is launched into a series of flips by a controlled explosion.
During a recent screening, Ryan Gosling enthusiastically acknowledged Holladay’s accomplishment, highlighting the sheer daring involved. Holladay, no stranger to such challenges, has impressed audiences in films like Logan, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and Nope.
“A record-breaking cannon roll!” Gosling exclaimed to Holladay in the audience.
“And there’s a moment in the film where he buckles me in for a stunt he’s about to do,” Gosling added. “After it happens, I come out of the car and he pats me on the back for a stunt he just did. How fucked up is that?”
Holladay expressed his pride in breaking the record, stating, “I had a pretty good feeling that I had broken the record because it felt like the spinning was never going to stop. It was a surreal moment and I’m incredibly proud of what the team achieved.“
“When I learned about The Fall Guy going into production, I knew I had to be part of it,” said Holladay in a statement. (Via ComicBookMovies.com)
