The Fall Guy promised intense action, car chases, explosions, and a lot more that any action movie lover would want on the big screen. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are set to take a zealous ride in the movie.

Kudos to Logan Holladay, the stunt performer behind the record of The Fall Guy who also worked in Logan, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and Nope to name a few among dozens of his projects in Hollywood. With the movie, the 43-year-old stunt performer achieved the record for most cannon rolls in a car. Holladay, piloting a specially modified Jeep Grand Cherokee, executed a mind-bending eight and a half cannon rolls. This surpasses the previous record held by Adam Kirley in Casino Royale.

After achieving “an astonishing eight and a half rolls” in a car, Universal Pictures issued a press release to celebrate the triumph.

“The cannon roll, a classic stunt dating back to the early days of cinema, involves fitting a cannon-like apparatus beneath a car that shoots toward the ground. As the vehicle reaches a designated speed, the mechanism triggers and propels the car into a series of rolls,” the release said (via PEOPLE).

Based on the 1980s hit CBS drama of the same name packed with fire-blasting instances providing a thrill alongside the narrative the embroiled narrative wrapping the primary characters.

The Fall Guy premiere at SXSW Film and TV Festival received a warm welcome and a huge round of applause. Gosling who was present at the premiere said, “We hope that it is reflective of how much the crew gives to every single film.” Ahead of the premiere, the actor gave a shout-out to his stunt performer Logan Holladay who was among the audience.

“There is a moment in the film where he buckles me in for a stunt that he is about to do. Then I get out of the car and he pats me on the back for a stunt that he just did. How fucked up is that?” Gosling said of Holladay (via The Hollywood Reporter).

He added:

“What I love about this movie is in any other film you would never know that but in this one you do. It’s an opportunity to finally acknowledge the stunt performers and the incredible contribution that they already make to movies.”

Leitch who has previously worked as a stunt performer himself, made The Fall Guy a movie with carefully curated action film. “It was a love letter to stunts. We knew we had to be authentic in that world,” he said at the event. The Fall Guy has made a solid case creating the necessary buzz ahead of its release.

The Fall Guy is slated for theatrical release on 3 May 2024.
