Yorgos Lanthimos is one of the few directors who refuse to deliver a bad movie in their career. The acclaimed director has been in prominence following his groundbreaking and morbidly horrifying 2009 horror comedy Dogtooth. The director has since been on a streak of making masterpieces with his unique storytelling that was further enhanced after his collaboration with Emma Stone. Now, the plotline of Lanthimos’ next movie has appeared online which puts fans on a cloud nine.
The First Logline For Yorgos Lanthimos’ Next Movie Appeared Online

Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone have been on a streak of back-to-back collaboration. Of course, the director’s 2023 sci-fi comedy Poor Things earned Stone her second Oscar, enhancing their strong creative bond that started with The Favourite.
After Poor Things, Jesse Plemons joined Stone in Kinds of Kindness for which Plemons claimed the Best Actor award at Cannes. Now, the duo is set to appear in Lanthimos’ upcoming movie Bugonia.
Based on South Korean sci-fi comedy Save the Green Planet! by Jang Joon-hwan and coming from the screenplay by Will Tracy, the official logline of the movie reads, “Two conspiracy-obsessed men kidnap the CEO of a major company when they become convinced that she’s an alien who wants to destroy Earth.”
Under the banner of Focus Features, Bugonia also gets a release date scheduled for 7 November 2025 release. Details of other cast for the movie are still under wraps but it has reportedly begun filming in the UK.

Lanthimos has maintained his legacy to be one of the most prominent directors of recent times with his acclaimed titles including The Lobster, and Killing of a Sacred Deer. With his collaboration with Emma Stone, the actor-director duo has seemingly reached a new creative height adding accolades to both of their resumes.
Bugonia which marks their fourth collaboration, has already made a huge splash among fans. Of course, considering the legacy of the director it is worth being excited for his upcoming movie as it will create ample room for the cast and the filmmaker to claim more accolades.
Bugonia will make its theatrical debut on November 7, 2025.
