Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos are celebrating their astounding collaboration yet again with Kinds of Kindness. Searchlight Pictures has dropped a new teaser trailer of the movie primarily revealing the cast of the film and the first look.
Kinds of Kindness Trailer is Here

After the huge success of their beautiful film Poor Things, Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos are collaborating again in Kinds of Kindness. The teaser revealed the first look of Stone alongside the other cast including Poor Things stars, Willem Dafoe, and Margaret Qualley alongside Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schafer.
Under the banner of Searchlight Pictures, Kinds of Kindness will be an anthology feature written by Lanthimos alongside Efthimis Filippou. The upcoming Lanthimos movie will mark the fourth collaboration with Filippou after The Lobster, Killing of a Sacred Deer, and Dogtooth.
The trailer only has a series of cuts. Without revealing much Stone has only one dialogue set apart by a pause. “This is it,” Stone narrated in the teaser. “A moment of truth. Isn’t it wonderful?” she added.
Interestingly the trailer also revealed some black and white shots that could be included in the movie for cinematic purposes.
What’s Kinds of Kindness About?

While major details of the story are under wraps, the teaser has nothing much to offer than a few guesses including a definite Lanthimos-themed movie with bizarre twists and turns complementing engrossing storytelling. Here’s the initial synopsis of the movie:
“Kinds Of Kindness is a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader,” (via Empire).
Revealing details of the movie Lanthimos previously spoke with The Guardian saying that Kinds of Kindness will be a contemporary film.
“It’s a contemporary film, set in the US – three different stories, with four or five actors who play one part in each story, so they all play three different parts. It was almost like making three films, really.”
It would be a first for Lanthimos to enlist an anthology film to his credit but it is certainly a success-bound as his collaboration with Stone is something that inherently works.
Kinds of Kindness will hit select theaters on June 21.
