Mae’s mother is equally involved, often driving her to shoots and staying nearby to ensure her safety. “If I’m booking a hotel for work, they always check in and make sure I’m all right,” Mae added.
Mae’s grandmother is in on it, too. “Once my grandma heard about what I was doing, she wanted to be part of the success too and ordered me this cute rhinestone lingerie set from Amazon,” she said, laughing. Despite how open her family is, Mae maintains boundaries around her work. “They’ll call me and they’ll be like, ‘what kind of content did you do today? How many customs did you do today?’ They know it all, the language, everything,” she explained. “But there’s definitely a line. I guess maybe I’m a little bit more reserved than them.”
