WrestleMania 40 was a spectacle for WWE fans to behold, both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns pushed their limit for the Universal Championship, but it was Rhodes’ time to shine as he defeated Reigns dethroning his legendary 1300+ days reign. But it was not a simple match, the last five minutes of the ultimate brawl were chaotic. As expected, The Bloodline intervened, John Cena, Seth Rollins, and The Undertaker came to Rhodes’ rescue and ultimately he defeated The Tribal Chief.

Certainly, it was a moment packed with heavy emotion for both the Superstars. Rhodes’s win was all about finishing his story while Reigns’ loss broke fans into tears despite being one of the greatest heels of recent times. Now, as the question was on the horizon, what’s now for The Tribal Chief? Triple H has promised a more engrossing storyline for Reigns. Perhaps, and considering The Game’s prowess in running things as a Chief Content Officer makes it easier to believe.

Following his defeat, Reigns was seen hugging his Wise Man, Paul Heyman— the video immediately went viral as fans could resonate with the feeling. But the mourning period of The Tribal Chief is over, Reigns took to his X (formerly Twitter) sharing that he is ready for the new beginning. “Yesterday I mourned. Today is Day 1,” he wrote in a caption of a video, it appears to be walking on a treadmill.

Reigns is certainly one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, even Cena, Hulk Hogan, and The Undertaker acknowledged the prowess of the Tribal Chief. The loss of his title at WrestleMania 40 was unexpected but it went to Rhodes’s favor. As Reigns teased a new beginning of his WWE chapter, fans rushed into his support.

As of now, it is still unclear what WWE is cooking for Reigns, with the departure of The Rock from WWE for a while, Reigns has to be in the big picture. Only time will tell the essence of the future storyline of both Rhodes and Reigns.
