Like recent Premium Live Events in WWE, Bash in Berlin has delivered a series of spectacular matches including Kevin Owens challenging Cody Rhodes for the Universal Championship, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley vs Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan’s Mixed Tag Team Match, Gunther vs Randy Orton match for World Heavyweight Champion, and the Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs The Unholy Union for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title. Another match on the card was, however, the real eyebrow-raiser as fans got closure to Drew McIntyre’s feud with CM Punk. But is their feud over after the Strap Match?

CM Punk finally claimed his first WWE victory in 11 years and since his return to the company in 2023. The Best in the World finally defeated the Scottish Warrior after a long spiteful rivalry.

Drew McIntyre attacked Punk before the match officially began and established his dominance while mocking Punk by slapping the turnbuckles (four turnbuckles slapping is the most crucial part of winning a strap match, as per the main rule). Punk regained his strength and hit a GTS to McIntyre taking the fight outside the ring. Later, McIntyre threw Punk over the top rope and sent him crashing through a table.

McIntyre tried to secure victory by carrying Punk to the corners, but Punk cunningly tapped each turnbuckle without McIntyre noticing. Punk even locked McIntyre in a Sharpshooter, forcing him to tap out, though it didn’t count under the rules.

Despite McIntyre hitting Punk with a Claymore and using Punk’s family bracelet as a taunt, Punk stood still in the game. He delivered three consecutive GTSs, touching the turnbuckles after each one, and finally reclaimed his bracelet before slapping the fourth turnbuckle to secure his astonishing WWE victory.

Now, Is Drew McIntyre’s Defeat Ends The Feud?

As the battle finally seemingly concludes, fans might wonder what WWE has stored for McIntyre and Punk. Certainly, the feud has been quite a thrilling ride that pushed the Scottish Warrior to quit WWE, although temporarily. The screw-ups were top-notch. While Seth Rollins is available to have a perfect opponent and Punk might dive into the feud, McIntyre has been solely invested in his clash with the Best in the World.

It seems the fight has ended but again, this could be the beginning of another brutal and more spiteful war as McIntyre being one of the most entertaining heels hurt his ego with the defeat and we believe he is not done with Punk.

But again, milking more storyline out of it would eventually lead to fatigue and WWE would not want that, for that reason, moving on could be another possibility while putting Punk back in the Seth Rollins storyline as the Visionary was seen furious with Punk’s return to WWE.

As for McIntyre, he might be the next challenger for Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship. Although it is unlikely that WWE would strip the title from The Ring General anytime soon. Still, a title shot for McIntyre would bring the heel vs heel on the table which is quite exciting itself. As for Gunther, he defeated Randy Orton in Bash in Berlin in a high-voltage match. Surprisingly, The Ring General extended his respect for the legend with a handshake and Orton acknowledged his win.

As for the other matches in the event; Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defeated The Unholy Union to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title, The Terror Twins, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley defeated Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
