CM Punk can not compete in the WrestleMania 40 due to his injury during the Royal Rumble match but the superstar is not away from his voice. He has been in a direct feud with Seth Rollins and doesn’t consider him worthy of the World Heavyweight Champion title he is currently holding. Now, Punk made a bold statement about Rollins, he called Rollins the “weak link” in the tag battle with The Bloodline.

“It’s hard to bet against The Rock and Roman, easy to bet against Seth. Hard to bet against Cody, but if there’s a weak link it’s Seth. I’ve got to go with The Rock and Roman on this one, I think the Bloodline is just too damn powerful,” Punk said.

Quite a bold prediction, is Punk being realistic considering The Bloodline’s power and games? Maybe, but one thing is certain, the match will be a battle making the fans’ expectations worthwhile.

CM Punk Will Appear In WrestleMania In A Different Role

It is beyond question for CMPunk to compete in WrestleMania 40, although he was originally planned for the big event, perhaps, one of the primary reasons for WWE bringing him back after a nine-year hiatus from the company. However, the superstar will not compete in any match in the squared circle as he is not medically cleared. Of course, an occupational hazard in his line of work, but Punk will appear as a commentator in the biggest WWE annual event.

“And I feel when I come here and there’s 16,000 plus people,” Punk recently said in a WWE Digital Exclusive. “And you’re responsible for a lot of them being there, this place is sold out tight, hanging from the raptors,” he added.

“I feel such a responsibility to wanna give them a show that I can’t right now because I paid the price of being a professional wrestler since I was 15. But I felt I gave them a little bit of that guy, I gave them that CM Punk that they know and love, that they wanna see, that dangerous guy on the microphone.”

He is in the game even without the physical action in the ring, the superstar has been one of the greatest wrestlers with astounding mic skills. Certainly, with Punk in the commentator’s chair, WrestleMania 40 would be far more interesting.

WrestleMania 40 starts on April 6 to 7, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
