Florence Pugh is giving us some inside looks from the set of the upcoming Marvel movie Thunderbolts. She shared a behind-the-scenes tour of the Atlanta set where the actress is currently shooting.

Hey guys, how are you doing? I know I’ve dropped off for a little bit, but that’s partially because I was whisked off to Atlanta to shoot a movie that I’m not really supposed to talk about,” Pugh said in a video posted to Instagram.

But I can show you things, sneakily, as long as you don’t tell anyone … I can show you a sneak peek of the set.”

They’re shooting. I’ll be quiet now,” the Dune actress added.

She wore a combat-ready costume which is a little bit different from what we saw her in Black Widow. In the video, she was also seen speaking with director Jake Schreier.

“I don’t even think you’re supposed to be doing this,” Schreier jokingly told Pugh, whose camera panned to one of the playback monitors that gives us a glimpse of the first official look at Yelena Belova in a fighting stance in the movie.

Someone is going to come rugby tackle me,” Pugh, who reprised her role on the Disney+ series Hawkeye playfully said.

Previously, Schreier directed 2012’s Robot and Frank and 2015’s Paper Towns. He’s also directed episodes of HBO Max’s Minx, FX’s The Premise and Showtime’s Kidding

As of yet, plot details are kept under wrap. However, the movie is reportedly centered on “villains and antiheroes going on a mission that was supposed to end with their death”.

Pugh’s return has made fans excited.

Schreier had revealed the cast of Thunderbolts in an Instagram post on September 11, 2022. “Bunch of misfits at D23 for Thunderbolts. @officialjld @dkharbour @hannahjohnkamen @imsebastianstan (and Wyatt doesn’t do Instagram),” he wrote in the caption of the picture featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Sebastian Stan and Wyatt Russell.

Sebastian Stan will reprise his role as Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier in the film. David Harbour will star as Red Guardian, Harrison Ford as the antagonist Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as John Walker and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster. Top Gun: Maverick star Lewis Pullman is going to debut as The Sentry in the new MCU movie.

Last summer’s writers’ and actors’ strike has caused a delay in the film’s production and currently it is slated for release on July 25, 2025.
