The 25-year-old reality star and her husband, Jace Terry, joyfully welcomed their newest addition—a baby girl—on July 17. Just days later, on July 20, Matthews made the announcement on Instagram, posting a tender set of hospital photos captioned, “7•17•25 🤍 our perfect baby girl is here.”

The days following the birth were filled with quiet joy and tender moments for the couple, who took their time to soak it all in before sharing the big news. On her Instagram Stories, Matthews wrote over an image of her newborn resting on her chest, “Can’t wait to share all the details with you guys.” Her love for her daughter was impossible to miss. “We have just been so in love over here with our baby girl,” she added. “She’s everything we ever wanted and I’m just so happy.”

This newest arrival joins the couple’s three older children: Beckham (7½), Haven (5½), and Tommie (3). Mikayla and Jace, who married in 2018, have shared many of their parenting moments online, allowing followers to witness the highs and hurdles of raising a growing family.
Her pregnancy journey with baby No. 4 began unexpectedly. Matthews, who has chronic health issues that often disrupt her menstrual cycle, admitted in an earlier interview that she hadn’t planned the pregnancy. “It was definitely a surprise! We were not planning or trying,” she shared. “I wasn’t having any symptoms… Then I take the test and it was instantly positive.” The couple was initially shocked, especially given concerns surrounding Mikayla’s health, but that quickly turned into excitement.
The baby’s gender reveal came three months later in a heartwarming video. The couple cut into a cake that revealed a pink center, followed by their kids biting into cake pops with pink fillings—an adorable and memorable moment for the whole family.

The pregnancy news had first been revealed during a controversial segment on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives called “pregnancy test roulette,” where Mikayla’s announcement stirred both curiosity and celebration among the group.
Interestingly, Mikayla doesn’t rule out expanding their family even more. Laughing about her cultural roots, she said, “It’s so wild to me that we’ll be a family of six. I feel like it’s the Mormon in me coming out.” With many of her husband’s siblings raising large families, she’s open to the idea. “I’ve always wanted three or four, but I could see myself having six.”
While the couple has yet to share the name of their newest family member, one thing is certain—this little girl has been born into a home overflowing with love, joy, and the warm embrace of her three older siblings and devoted parents.
