Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson would not let go of the opportunity to roast MCU vet Chris Hemsworth alongside her Marvel co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Evans. Hemsworth was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and his Marvel friends gave their comments on the actor to celebrate his legacy.

It’s not just sharing a tattoo (most OG Avengers actors have similar tattoos on them), Chris Hemsworth also got support from his Marvel buddies when the actor received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But before the celebration, the Australian actor had to face the friendly yet subtle roasts from his original Avengers co-stars. Initiated by Robert Downey Jr., the roast on the actor began as he asked, “What is Chris Hemsworth?” (via Variety). Downey reached out to their Marvel co-stars for a three-word comment on Hemsworth with the question.

“Renner says, ‘Absurdly, annoyingly amazing.’ Ruffalo came in strong with ‘friend from work.’ Scarlett got to the heart of it with ‘sensitive leading lady.’ Captain America calls him the ‘second best Chris.’ And I’ll bring it to the here and now: There is no one who deserves it more. He is ‘Hollywood star recipient.’”

Downey’s vibrant roast with the help of Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Evans added fun to the celebration of the Thor actor who recently starred in George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga as Dr. Dementus, the antagonist to Anya Taylor-Joy’s Imperator Furiosa.

Not all roasts, Downey also hailed the actor’s prowess. Also, the Iron Man star gave a shout-out to Hemsworth’s latest movie with utter enthusiasm saying “can not wait” for the movie that opened one day after the commencement of Hemsworth. “I wrote all of my comments myself, which is why they are going to be quite insightful and brilliant,” Downey said in the typical Tony Stark fashion.

“Beyond the cape and the hammer is a contagious Aussie charm. You are a remarkable human being. You are a legend. Chris is a bit daunting to describe. He’s very elusive because of the pretty packaging. However, upon further inspection…down under…he has a true wit and depth of soul and it has been my sincere pleasure to know you. You keep us Hollywood folk on our toes because you’re just a real deal.”

Downey who won an Oscar for his performance as Lewis Strauss in Christopher Nolan’s 2023 blockbuster and critical hit Oppenheimer, also predicted that Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga “is going to be the film of 2024.”

This time it’s real but the Marvel star previously found himself in a mistake as he thought he was honored for the star in the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2019. “I thought that was the Walk of Fame! So when we did it, I thought, ‘Oh cool, I’m getting a star.’” Hemsworth told Variety in an interview.

“And someone told me, ‘No, that’s not what this is.’ I went along with it like I completely knew what was happening. It was kind of afterwards, I was like, ‘So, where’s the star?’”

The confusion began when Hemsworth and Avengers: Endgame cast were asked to put their handprints in cement outside the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Regardless, the actor has now got his deserved honor.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is now showing in theaters.
