Since some men brought the allegations of sexual misconduct against Kevin Spacey, back in 2017, he has not worked on any project in Hollywood. A jury found Spacey “not liable” for the allegations in 2022. The actor whom we know for his compelling roles in House of Cards or Seven won Best Supporting Actor for playing a con man in The Usual Suspects (1995) and Best Actor for playing a suburban husband and father going through a midlife crisis in American Beauty (1999). And, now some Hollywood veterans including Sharon Stone, and Liam Neeson have urged him to make a comeback to the industry saying that they would all like to see him acting again.

Following the sexual misconduct allegations, Kevin Spacey has almost been banished from the industry. But seems like some Hollywood A-listers have been missing him. Sharon Stone and Liam Neeson call for Specey’s return.

The actors’ statements come when the Channel 4 documentary series Spacey Unmasked is being aired. The two-part documentary Spacey Unmasked recently aired in the U.K. and is now streaming on Max and saw 10 men accuse the American Beauty actor of inappropriate behavior.

Kevin is a good man and a man of character,” Neeson told The Telegraph. “He’s sensitive, articulate and non-judgmental, with a terrific sense of humour. He is also one of our finest artists in the theatre and on camera. Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly.”

I can’t wait to see Kevin back at work,” Stone told The Telegraph. “He is a genius. He is so elegant and fun, generous to a fault and knows more about our craft than most of us ever will.” She added.

It’s terrible that they are blaming him for not being able to come to terms with themselves for using him and negotiating with themselves because they didn’t get their secret agendas,” she further stated.

Writer, actor, and presenter Stephen Fry also came in support of Spacey saying “To continue to harass and hound [Spacey], to devote a whole documentary to accusations that simply do not add up to crimes…how can that be considered proportionate and justified?

Murray Abraham who won an Oscar for his role as Salieri in Amadeus, told the Telegraph that he stands with Spacey referring to him as a fine man.

For the first time following the accusations against him, Spacey made a TV appearance. While speaking to Chris Cuomo in a NewsNation interview, Spacey said that he is grateful to all his friends who offered support to him during this time.

I am enormously pleased that my friends have stood up for me this past day, but quite frankly, they’ve been standing up for me for a long, long time,” he said.

He also expressed his wish to make a comeback to work and stated that he has “learned” from his experiences. “I’m trying to show that I’ve listened. I’ve learned. I’ve got the memo,” Spacey said. He added, “At a certain point, I just want to get back to work.

During the interview, Spacey said he is “so much happier today, living a more authentic and open life.”

Now, I want to prove that I’m a man of great character,” he said. “I look forward to being able to prove to people that I am the merit of who I am as a human being.

Spacey also admitted accepting his “accountability,” but did not hold back from saying that “I am not going to be accountable for things I didn’t do or that were exaggerated or greatly changed.”

He mentioned in an interview with The Telegraph as the #MeToo movement started to grow rapidly in Hollywood, there was a “rush to judgment” against him.

In 2022, a jury found Spacey did not molest actor Anthony Rapp when he was 14. Next year, a London jury acquitted Spacey after he was accused of sexual offenses against four men in Britain.
