Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet recently starred in HBO’s political satire miniseries The Regime where she plays Chancellor Elena Vernham. Created by Will Tracy and directed by Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs, the show alongwith Winslet includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, and Hugh Grant.

Kate Winslet, 48, has an illustrious career to her name with movies like Titanic, Sense and Sensibility, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Her recent work in HBO’s The Regime showcased her acting genius, depth and range. 

The Regime tells the story of an authoritarian chancellor of an unnamed European country and her life within the walls. It’s a well-crafted satire of the crumbling modern day autocracy. 

Kate Winslet and her co-star Matthias Schoenaerts who plays the role of corporal Herbert Zubak, a military officer begins their relationship. During an Interview with The Times, Winslet stated that her intimate scene with Schoenaerts was “so much fun” that at one point the cinematographer and the make-up artist had to leave the set. 

It’s satire,” “Nothing makes sense and it’s so absurd, all you can do is laugh your head off.”

They engrossed in some s-x scenes that went quite unstable and her character screams “No biting” at her lover.

Winslet and Schoenaerts earlier played lovers in the 2014 period drama A Little Chaos, which was directed by the late Alan Rickman. 

The actress further added:-

To be honest, Matthias and I know each other so we have a shorthand and a trust that we’ve had for over a decade.”

Winslet, after doing so many serious roles in her career coming back to a television series role following the 2017 HBO crime drama Mare of Easttown.

Kate Winslet’s n-de scenes in Titanic got much attention at that time but the actress was not quite happy showing so much flesh. Despite the n-ked scenes from the $2.25 billion movie becoming so iconic, why did Winslet regret doing those sequences? 

As the movie re-released in 3D in 2012, Winslet spoke to The Sun about the n*de scenes in the movie. 

I’m not going to look. I’ll be in the bar by that point,” Winslet said. “I wish I hadn’t shown so much flesh but I was young and I knew I had things to prove.”

Later, in an interview for Yahoo! In 2014, when one fan handed her a photo of her iconic n-ked scene in the blockbuster, the actress said that she feels uncomfortable seeing it even after so many years. 

I didn’t want it to become a photograph that I would continue to see [seventeen years] later.

And, despite everything, it’s quite strange because this particular scene still haunts me today” she concluded. 

Also, The holiday actress spoke on how mainstream media even came down to body shaming her after the movie and how she felt disturbed by the actions.
