Quentin Tarantino is essentially a legend; there may not be much debate on this despite the director inviting immense criticism throughout his career. Tarantino is one of the directors whose movies have always had a good test. Tarantino’s movies are unique and stylized and are often infused with violence. With an astounding fanbase, the director has lived the glorious heydays in Hollywood since leaving a mark on the industry with his debut movie Reservoir Dogs in 1992.

Since his debut as a director in Hollywood in 1992, Quentin Tarantino went on to achieve accolades forging his name among the great directors in Hollywood with his unique style of storytelling diving into the human emotions and exploring the darkest side of it. His movies are often funny as he carefully blends subtle comedy even in subtle action.

So far, the director has made 10 movies, and all his movies have received the undivided attention of fans and critics alike. Here is the list of every Tarantino-directed movie—

  • Reservoir Dogs (1992)
  • Pulp Fiction (1994
  • Jackie Brown (1997)
  • Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003)
  • Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004)
  • Grindhouse: Death Proof (2007)
  • Inglourious Basterds (2009)
  • Django Unchained (2012)
  • The Hateful Eight (2015)
  • Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

Tarantino has one more movie in to join the list of his legacy as the director has been quite clear that his upcoming flick The Movie Critic would be his last. Tarantino has also made several astounding cameos including his own movies. Also being an avid screenwriter who writes his own movies, secured two Oscars in the Best Original Screenplay category in 1995 for Pulp Fiction and in 2013 for Django Unchained.

Pulp Fiction is undoubtedly the best work of Tarantino which stood the test of time still engrossing fans. Now, The Movie Critic has been the most ambitious movie of his career with the immense buzz surrounding the movie since its announcement. If he decides to retire from directing after his 11th movie there will certainly be a void in Tarantinoesque filmmaking. Still, one must respect his decision as it all comes down to the creative and personal choice.

Tarantino’s legacy will live on as he is unique, his writings are mesmerizing as they are raw and original. His distinctive directorial style, unique storytelling styles, nonlinear narratives, perfect implementation of pop culture references, and intense dialogue make him a distinguished director. Also, he is unapologetically bold in his approach, perhaps, that’s propelled him to be an iconic filmmaker for the world to witness.
