Elizabeth Olsen is one of the most popular actors with complementary Marvel fame to her name. However, her appearances in showbiz have been pretty slim. The actor has an extensive career at Marvel Studios playing the titular Scarlett Witch, Wanda Maximoff, and beyond the umbrella of the studio, Olsen made her name impactful with several astonishing credits to her name including, Wind River, and Love & Death. Still, she likes to keep her work and personal life balancing it out for her family.

Being one of the profound Marvel stars, it is understandable that Elizabeth Olsen attracts a lot of attention considering the inherent immense fandom of the superhero brand. The actor, however, has her own unique way of keeping her away from the rigorous showbiz. In her recent chat with Harper Bazar to promote her latest movie His Three Daughters, Olsen shared that she is quite hermetic in some aspects, especially when it comes to public appearances. “How I deal with the fame of being in Hollywood is I try to avoid it at all costs,” Olsen said.

“I’m hermetic in some ways. I show up for movies that I’m promoting, and I show up to work to shoot them. I always admire actors who can think of an element of their life as a character that they’re performing. If they go to an event or a red carpet, they’re performing this character. But I don’t know how to do that, I just feel like this is who I am.”

She went on to add, “I avoid showing up to places where I might get photographed. When I go to a farmer’s market, I try and pick one where there aren’t any photographers. It’s things like that I wish I didn’t have to be conscious of.”

Understandable, considering the fandom the actor has on her sleeve, her conscious public appearances have been balanced and it is a trait she perfected over the years. Olsen is married to musician Robbie Arnett.

The WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2 star also shared her bucket list during her chat with the outlet promoting the upcoming Netflix movie that has a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. “What’s left on my bucket list is learning another language,” she told Harper Bazar. She revealed that she was fascinated after watching Todd Field’s 2022 psychological drama Tár starring Cate Blanchett.

“I watched Tar, and I know just from watching interviews with her that Cate Blanchett had schoolgirl-level German language at her disposal. Then she had to build upon that for the film. Maybe she was being modest about her language skills – I don’t know her – but I found that fluidity between languages really inspiring.”

Olsen added, “As someone who grew up in the States, learning a second language wasn’t really a strong focus, but I would love to figure out how to play a character that could at least flip between multiple languages. I find it thrilling and exciting, and I’d love to work towards that.”

SUGGESTED: Elizabeth Olsen Was ‘Really Scared’ Doing Her ‘Career Curveball’ Project For Marvel Studios

As for her cinematic career in the MCU, it is hard to predict her future in the superhero brand. Her character seemingly “died” in Dictor Strange 2 after destroying Mount Wundagore and the Darkhold which collapsed on her. It was a sacrifice but her death was not officially confirmed. Rumor has it that a Scarlett Witch movie would conclude Olsen’s MCU tenure but so far, there has not been any official confirmation regarding it. Fans, certainly hope for the actor’s return, and Avengers: Secret Wars could be the perfect place.

Olsen’s latest comedy-drama, His Three Daughters is directed by her longtime friend, Azazel Jacobs. The movie also stars Natasha Lyonne, and Carrie Coon alongside the Avengers star and will debut on Netflix on September 20.
