Dwayne Johnson must be one of the busiest stars with several businesses to his name, being on the board of directors for TKO Holdings, his WWE appearances, and of course, being one of the most prominent action stars. But time flies without a pause, not even for The Rock. Johnson has reportedly done some weird things to save time and that includes allegedly peeing in bottles.

Dwayne Johnson’s one of his highly anticipated projects, Red One starring alongside former Captain America star Chris Evans has reportedly cost the producers of the movie an astonishing $250 million in the total production budget. That is quite the number for a movie outside the superhero genre. As per an exclusive from TheWrap, the movie is in a bit of a mess, and as per sources telling the outlet the sky-high budget increase of the movie was due to Johnson’s alleged lack of professionalism.

The actor who has been a megastar claiming his fame and glory as an action-comedy actor with sizable box office numbers, reportedly showed up late up to eight hours. “The only thing Dwayne was consistent at was being chronically late,” one Insider said. Further, the actor has made a new tactic to save time. In previous films, Johnson used water bottles for peeing to save time. “On set, away from his trailer, if he needs to pee, he doesn’t go to the public bathroom,” one insider close to the actor told TheWrap. “He pees in a Voss water bottle and his team or a PA has to dispose of it,” they added.
Johnson was also a late arrival at his WWE premium WrestleMania 40 event and faced huge criticism for the same but The Rock merged it into his heel phase.
No Time For Bathroom

Peeing in a bottle is not new to Johnson. The actor who often prides himself, claiming he has been the hardest worker, does not have time to go the bathroom to pee. If you are an avid follower of Johnson, his pee in a bottle first appeared in a 2017 post on Instagram. “I just realized, you have seen my big bottle of pee (laughs),” Johnson said in the video.
“I go hardcore when I train, I don’t have time to go to the bathroom. I find a bottle to pee in it and I keep training like a beast,” he added.
Four years later, Johnson explained his reason behind peeing in a bottle. Appearing for a chat with Esquire, the actor said that he keeps himself hydrated a lot. “I usually stay pretty hydrated,” Johnson told the outlet.
“I need to go to the bathroom a lot. Not a lot, but probably a couple of times during a workout I have to go to the bathroom. So I break out the bottle.”
Johnson has never shied away or attempted to hide his The Voss urine bottle. However, TheWrap did not confirm if he did the same on the set of Red One.
Other than Johnson and Evans, Red One also stars Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, J. K. Simmons, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju, and Bonnie Hunt. The movie is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, The Detective Agency, Chris Morgan Productions, and Johnson’s own production company Seven Bucks Productions.
Red One is scheduled for November 15, 2024 release.
