David Corenswet, the new Superman didn’t have much screen space to prove his prowess in acting as a star capable of pulling off the iconic DC hero but James Gunn could foresee that he was a star in the making. Gunn is not wrong, Corenswet recently appeared in the Natalie Portman-starrer Apple TV+ thriller miniseries Lady in the Lake and the actor has stunned fans with his remarkable performance.
David Corenswet Proved To Be An Acting Powerhouse
David Corenswet, so far best known for his role in Netflix’s Hollywood, has given an acting masterclass in Natalie Portman-led Lady in the Lake. A clip of one minute featuring a confrontation between Portman and Corenswet reveals that he is capable of doing more than imaginable.
Of course, the actor has appeared in several projects including The Politician, Affairs of State, We Own This City, Look Both Ways, Pearl, and most recently Twisters. However, fans have long suspected his casting for Superman. Indeed, it is a big task at hand.
The principal photography of Superman has been wrapped and the movie is straightway moved into post-production. While we have quite a long time ahead of us before Superman hits the big screen, watching Lady in the Lake will clarify our doubts.
Set in 60’s Baltimore, an aspiring reporter, Maddie Schwartz played by Portman, pursues the murder of a forgotten young woman. Corenswet plays Allan Durst, a guest star in the 4-episode series but holds a significant stature.
Fans Are Blown Away By David Corenswet’s Lady in the Lake Performance
Corenswet’s short clip from the show made its way into X and fans enjoyed the entire clip as the actor poured his heart out in the small role he had. Fans are now convinced that no other proof is required as Gunn made the right decision to cast him as Superman.
Damn, between this, Hollywood, and Twisters David has some serious range

By the look of the leaked photos from the set of Superman, Corenswet looks stunning, and fit for the role.
