David Ayer who directed DC’s 2016 movie, Suicide Squad was recently enraged by a fan’s remark on Jared Leto’s Joker. Zack Snyder’s Justice League has completed its third anniversary and the director alongside fans celebrated the memories of the Snyderverse movie. Snyder posted a new picture of Leto’s Joker to commemorate the day and a fan has criticized Leto’s performance as the DC’s iconic villain. Ayer was not particularly happy seeing the comment from the fans.

David Ayer didn’t hold back as Jared Leto’s Joker was criticized after Zack Snyder posted of a new photo of the actor as the iconic Batman nemesis. Leto appeared in Ayer’s Suicide Squad, the movie was also the victim of criticism similar to Leto’s Joker has received. A user commented on Leto’s photo shared by Snyder.
“Jared Leto was not the Joker. He was a gangster nicknamed Joker. He also gave the worst performance in the history of CBM and was laughed out of the role by fans confirming he will be allowed near the character again. Find shame,” the user commented on X.
Ayer revealed that Leto’s Joker had a lot more to offer and fans have seen a portion of it. Responding to the comment of the fan, Ayer wrote:
“Shame you never had the chance to see Jared’s actual performance. It’s amazing. Sorry not sorry.”
Before DC scrapped the new addition to movies in Snyderverse, Leto’s Joker had room to appear in more projects. However, his charm as the villain was not up to the mark. Of course, Leto is a talented actor with his prowess that won him an Oscar but his appearances in comic book movies weren’t in a positive light as his MCU movie Morbius also failed miserably

As Ayer revealed that he was in possession of Leto’s treasure as Joker, the curiosity among fans jumped higher demanding the director release the footage.

Both Ayer and Snyder are currently away from DC and DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran have changed the entire scenario at the studio as they went on to reboot the DC Universe. It is unlikely that Snyder would helm a project in the studio under Gunn’s tenure. Snyder’s Rebel Moon 2 trailer was dropped on the same day of his Justice League anniversary.
