Dakota Johnson is getting ready for the theatrical release of her upcoming drama Daddio along with Sean Penn written and directed by Christy Hall. The official synopsis reads, “Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn shine in the Daddio trailer, a film that promises to highlight their acting prowess. Set in a New York cab, the movie delves into deep conversations, showcasing the actors’ range and the power of human connection.” Amidst the approaching release date recently Johnson visited Jimmy Kimmel Live show and there she discussed the casting of the film’s di-k picture.

Dakota Johnson Detailed On Casting For A Di-k Picture

On Wednesday night, Dakota Johnson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss her upcoming film, Daddio, set to premiere next week. During the interview, she shared an unusual behind-the-scenes story about casting a rather unconventional prop for the movie.

Kimmel inquired about a specific scene in which Johnson’s character receives a provocative photo from her off-screen boyfriend. Johnson elaborated, “So, there is this sort of ominous third character in the movie—you never see him, you never really meet him, and Girlie, my character, is texting with him and he sends this di-k pic.”

Johnson described how the film’s prop master, Diana Burton, had assembled the prop for this scene. “When we were casting the di-k pic, there’s not really a back stock of penis photos that are usable in movies,” she stated. Burton, a woman in her 60s, had asked a group of her male friends to anonymously send in photos for consideration.

The selection process involved narrowing down the submissions to two final candidates. “The photos were studied intently,” Johnson noted. “The four of us, just like four women [saying], ‘This one’s nice, that one’s not great.’” This unique and humorous casting process highlighted the behind-the-scenes effort that goes into even the most unexpected aspects of filmmaking.

Dakota Johnson kept her cool during a stressful situation on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! The actress handled a wardrobe malfunction with grace and humor.

The star of Persuasion was dressed in a sleek black outfit adorned with floral metal straps. During the live interview, the dress unexpectedly “fell off,” causing host Jimmy Kimmel to ask if she was alright. After several attempts to fix it, the 34-year-old actress ultimately said, “Well, I’ll just hold it.”

Kimmel, noticing her struggle, quickly showed concern. “Dakota, your dress just came unhooked. Are you all right?” he asked, offering to help with Scotch tape. Johnson responded, “My dress — it just fell off!” adding, “Well, I’ll just hold it.

The host cheekily suggested, “Just hold the important part. There you go,” to which Dakota responded with a laugh.

Johnson’s handling of the situation with quick wit and composure was commendable, especially during a live broadcast. This incident showcased her ability to remain calm and humorous under pressure.

This wasn’t Johnson’s first experience with a wardrobe mishap on live television. In 2019, during the People’s Choice Awards, her dress broke when she hugged Leslie Mann while accepting the award for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress. Joking about the incident, she remarked, “It’s not like nobody here hasn’t already seen my b-obs,” referencing her n-de scenes in the Fifty Shades series.
