Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins starrer Fallout TV series has been renewed for a second season.

Praise be to our insanely brilliant showrunners, Geneva [Robertson-Dworet] and Graham [Wagner], to our kick-ass cast, to Todd and James and all the legends at Bethesda, and to Jen, Vernon and the amazing team at Amazon for their incredible support of this show,” Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of Kilter Films said said in a joint statement. “We can’t wait to blow up the world all over again.”

The showrunners added: “Holy sh*t. Thank you to Jonah, Kilter, Bethesda and Amazon for having the courage to make a show that gravely tackles all of society’s most serious problems these days — cannibalism, incest, jello cake. More to come!”

The show is based on the video game franchise of the same name, and set two hundred years after the apocalypse. The official description states it follows “the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters that are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

The series cast also includes Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan and Xelia Mendes-Jones.

It’s just announced that a second season of the Fallout TV series will come but there’s nothing more updates on it. However, Fallout series co-creator Jonathan Nolan earlier teased that Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul may want a role in the second season.

Paul is best known for his role as meth dealer Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad and he happens to be a secret fan of the Fallout video game upon which the series has been made. Also, he is a favorite of Fallout writer/director Jonathon Nolan.

IGN asked, “Have you heard from anyone since the show came out who’s like, ‘Hey, I love Fallout. Why wasn’t I in the show? Can I be in Season 2?’”, Nolan replied, “Aaron Paul.

Aaron Paul was at the premiere, a human being I love so much. And he was very polite. He was very enthusiastic about the show. There was sort of an unspoken kind of like, ‘What’s up, man?’” Nolan told IGN.

But we’ve been hearing from so many people, and it’s kind of fun to see the Fallout fans come out of the woodwork. People you’ve known a long time and you realize, ‘Oh, you’ve been playing this whole time.’ So it’s been a lot of fun.

We can’t say anything yet as all these are far from any official casting announcement, but considering both sides’ interest, we might see Paul in the season 2 of Fallout TV series which currently stands at 8.6 IMDb rating.

The first season of Fallout can be streamed in full on Prime Video.
