It’s been just a day Christopher Nolan shined with the Golden coveted award which was his career’s first. His film about the father of Atomic bomb J. Robert Oppenheimer bagged seven Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy and Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr. And seems like, Nolan, the visionary filmmaker is in no mood of taking any rest for now.
Christopher Nolan Is Already Getting Ready for His Next Movie After Oppenheimer
Oppenheimer is a blockbuster, in everyway, literally. Talk about box office collection? The movie grossed over $960 million globally. And it became the first and biggest blockbuster to win Best Picture in the last twenty years. And the mastermind behind all these success Christopher Nolan has already picked his next move.
According to a report by Variety, Nolan is ready to make a movie that may be a remake of the 1960s mystery show, The Prisoner, created by and starring Patrick McGoohan. As of now, there’s no official updates if he has started writing screenplay or not.
Meanwhile, per Puck News, Nolan has “already started writing” his next feature. No confirmation on what he’s up to but earlier he hinted at a different genre- horror. However, he told Yahoo that “part of me wants to leave the story behind… [the] subject matter is very dark. It’s nihilistic. And, yeah, there’s part of me that’s quite keen to move on and maybe do something, you know, not quite as bleak.”
No matter what he brings next, for sure it will be a treat to watch, given his track record. Both Warner Bros. and Universal are behind him to get his service but most probably Nolan will go with the latter, given the fact that what Universal could do to him, Warner Bros could not.
